Hidden Gems: Meet Nico Phillips of Pacific Realty Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nico Phillips.

Hi Nico, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, California and graduated with my associate degree from Mt Sac College. Having competed in wrestling my entire life, I took the opportunity to join my old high school as the head wrestling coach.

Years later, my passion for coaching and fitness led me to open my own personal training gym. Once Covid-19 shocked the world and gyms started shutting down, I diverted my focus and obtained my real estate license during lockdown. Shortly after joining a local brokerage, I was able to help several families reach their real estate goals. Buying or selling a home in Los Angeles and the surrounding area can be a complex and sophisticated process, and my goal is to ensure my clients are well-educated and receive the best representation.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Navigating through different jobs after college and trying to find a career that’s in alignment with one’s passion is rarely easy. I struggled after the loss of my first business and the aftermath of Covid-19 but it definitely motivated me to utilize my skill set and enter a career with longevity that I truly enjoy.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I specialize in helping first-time home buyers, sellers and anyone relocating to Southern California. Pacific Realty Group is one of the fastest-growing real estate companies in Southern California, with offices located in the Inland Empire, Orange County, and Los Angeles County. As an agent, I have sold homes in all price ranges to people of all backgrounds and walks of life.

Most important to me is providing excellent service and ensuring my clients feel comfortable and confident. Clients appreciate my open communication, ability to listen to their wants and needs, market knowledge, and negotiation skills.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
The food! I’m a big foodie so I love to get out and try new restaurants. Traffic kind of sucks!
