As an eldest daughter, Capricorn, and child of immigrants, determination and relentless pursuit have been ingrained in my character from an early age. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the sacrifices my parents made to provide us with opportunities. Their resilience and work ethic became my blueprint for success. From a young age, I learned to set clear goals, chart my path, and pursue them with unwavering commitment. In my journey, there has never been room for Plan B’s, alternatives, or excuses. Instead, I embraced challenges head-on, leveraging every setback as motivation to push harder. This steadfast approach has not only shaped my professional endeavors but has also defined my personal growth. It’s a philosophy rooted in the belief that hard work, determination, and a clear vision can overcome any obstacle, leading to achievements that exceed even my own expectations.
During my first year of college, I stumbled upon the role of a Physician Assistant (PA) and immediately felt a profound sense of purpose and direction. Learning about the responsibilities—autonomy in patient care, prescribing medications, and diagnosing conditions—fueled my determination to pursue this career path. I quickly realized the competitive nature of PA school admissions, where programs receive thousands of applications for only a handful of seats. Despite the daunting statistics, I remained steadfast in my goal. Throughout college, I meticulously crafted my academic journey and gained relevant experience in various healthcare settings. Each course, volunteer opportunity, and moment spent shadowing PAs solidified my decision. The vision of graduating with a master’s degree, equipped to make a meaningful impact in healthcare, became my driving force. As I navigated the challenges and demands of preparing for PA school, I was fueled by the certainty that my dedication would lead me to a fulfilling career in my chosen specialty.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
After an unsuccessful application cycle, I dedicated a year to becoming a more competitive applicant. All of my efforts paid off when I secured an interview at a top-choice PA school and received the news of my acceptance. Entering PA school, I was well aware of the challenges ahead, often referred to “drinking through a firehose” due to the intensity of the curriculum. The 28-month program demanded unparalleled dedication and resilience as I navigated a torrent of information and clinical experiences. Despite the rigorous demands, I persevered, drawing on the lessons learned from previous setbacks. Graduating from PA school and passing my boards with flying colors was a testament to my determination and growth. I carry with me a profound sense of accomplishment and gratitude, knowing that every obstacle I overcame has shaped me into the competent provider I am today. This journey has reinforced my belief that setbacks are not barriers but opportunities for personal and professional development, paving the way for ongoing success in my career as a Physician Assistant.
Upon exploring various medical specialties, I swiftly recognized that aesthetic medicine held the key to both my professional success and personal fulfillment. Much like the competitive landscape of PA school admissions, breaking into this specific field posed significant challenges. Undeterred, I approached my job search with unwavering determination, treating it as a full-time endeavor for six months. I leveraged every resource available—from cold calling and emailing to scouring job postings on platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn. Persistence paid off when a well-timed cold email and follow-up landed me a rewarding first job, despite the position not being actively advertised at the time.
During my year in that role, I thrived, honing my skills and expanding my expertise in aesthetic medicine. This experience allowed me to establish a strong reputation within the medical community, prompting other practices to actively seek me out. This unexpected demand ultimately led me to my current position, where I continue to grow and contribute to the field I’m passionate about. Reflecting on this journey, I’m reminded of the power of persistence and proactive networking in achieving professional goals. Each step has reaffirmed my belief that in aesthetic medicine, I have found not just a career, but a vocation where I can excel and find genuine happiness.

Today, I am proud to be a Board Certified Physician Assistant specializing in Dermatology, serving patients at Facile Dermatology + Boutique in Los Angeles. My primary base is at our West Hollywood location, where I dedicate the majority of my time providing personalized care and innovative treatments to our clientele. Additionally, I extend my expertise to patients in Pasadena, ensuring accessibility and convenience for those on the east side of town by working there once a week. Working at Facile Dermatology + Boutique allows me to combine my passion for skincare and aesthetics with cutting-edge medical practices, enabling me to make a meaningful impact on the health and confidence of my patients every day.
My passion in aesthetic medicine lies in natural injectables, skin health, preventative care, skin rejuvenation treatments, and patient education. Throughout my career, I have pursued extensive training and gained valuable experience across all facets of aesthetic medicine, including plastic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and various laser and dermatologic procedures for both facial and body treatments. This includes a variety of injectable treatments such as neuromodulators (e.g., Botox, Dysport, Daxxify), dermal fillers to restore volume and contour, Sculptra for collagen stimulation, and Kybella for non-surgical fat reduction. I also specialize in advanced laser treatments including CoolPeel CO2 for skin resurfacing, Fraxel for rejuvenation, Laser Genesis for skin texture improvement, Excel V for vascular concerns, and LaseMD for non-ablative resurfacing. Microneedling, with or without PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), is another popular treatment I provide to enhance skin texture and promote collagen production.
Beyond aesthetic enhancements, I diagnose and treat various dermatological conditions. This includes prescribing both oral and topical medications tailored to effectively manage conditions such as acne, rosacea, melasma, eczema, and more.
