Today we’d like to introduce you to Missy Carter.
Hi Missy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Santa Clarita, Missy Carter is a dedicated woman whose commitment to her community shines through every aspect of her life. Guided by the strength of her father, a retired LAPD/Veteran, and the resilience of her mother, Missy developed a passion for public service early on by volunteering at Henry Mayo Hospital at sixteen as a Debutante.
She founded the Ryan Osler First Responders Memorial Golf Tournament to honor those who serve, a tribute to a hometown hero who gave his life in the line of duty. This cause resonated deeply with her, given her family’s history of service and sacrifice.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Missy spearheaded “Solid Contact,” a charity event supporting Brad Uptgraft, who was diagnosed with ALS. As VP of Fundraising at Oak Hills Elementary, she surpassed goals for two consecutive years.
As President of the Board at Carousel Ranch, she leads initiatives improving the lives of children and young adults with special needs through equine therapy and vocational training. As Director of Membership & Marketing in the golf industry, she has connected with diverse communities, channeling support into over a dozen nonprofits.
Missy’s advocacy has earned her numerous accolades, including the Forty Under 40 award, Canyon High Alumni award for 50 most influential people, The Signal’s Top 51 Most Influential People, 2025 Nominee Woman of the Year for the 40th California Assembly District, 2025 Nominee Woman of the Year for Santa Clarita and LA Weekly’s Inspiring Women Edition.
Expanding her impact, Missy serves as chair and emcee for the Henry Mayo Hospital Fashion Show. For over a decade, she has co-chaired Bras for a Cause. Her passion drives her mission to support women battling breast cancer, building a legacy of care and compassion.
Missy Carter is more than a community leader; she is a beacon of hope, resilience, and service—a true inspiration to all who know her.

Life is full of challenges and obstacles that we must overcome to achieve our goals. It is on these difficult roads that we find strength, resilience, and the opportunity for personal growth.
I would say there have been tough days, but I am very fortunate and blessed. I have an amazing husband who is always there for me, two fantastic daughters who are my life and joy, and my family and friends who constantly show up for me and support me.

At its heart, our club is more than just a golf course—it’s a vibrant community built on tradition, camaraderie, and a shared passion for the game. As the Director of Membership & Marketing, I have the privilege of welcoming new members into a place that blends world-class golf with authentic, lasting connections.
For over 27 years, I have excelled in the golf industry, serving as Director of Membership & Marketing at The Saticoy Club. I am in charge of the maintenance and retention of existing members in good standing.
