Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Porter.
Hi Lisa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My journey started over 20 years ago when I worked internally for a number of start-up technology companies. Most notably, I was vice president of marketing and international sales of JABRA Corporation (now GN Netcom), which develops and markets cellular, desktop, mobile, and wireless products. Utilizing my strategic marketing and implementation of international sales channels, I helped to put JABRA on the map worldwide and was a part of the team that negotiated the buy-out by GN Netcom.
Following JABRA, I finished up my MBA and then worked internally, serving as vice president of marketing & communications for Voice Assist, Inc. and director of marketing and communications for CMD Technology (now Silicon Image). While at CMD Technology, I also served as a joint chairperson on the USB Implementers Forum marketing committee, helping to coordinate all the marketing efforts in bringing USB to market. In this position, I played an active role with companies such as Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, Northern Telecom, Phoenix Technologies, Lucent, Telex, Logitech, and numerous others.
Having experienced how agencies worked with companies (and feeling like we weren’t getting the value for our investment), I put together a business plan and launched out as an independent agency in 1999. Following the dissolution of that original agency, P3 Creative was formed in 2021 as a full-service digital marketing agency. This move enabled me to team up with other talented individuals to deliver complete marketing, website, public relations, advertising, social media, video services, and more in a highly effective, cost-efficient manner.
Today, our clients range from Fortune 500 to start-ups spanning from the medical, commercial real estate, self-storage, and technology industries.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the biggest challenges came with the recession in 2007 and then the pandemic in 2020. We were able to survive both because our prices were competitive, and we have managed to keep our overhead costs low. Because our services are online, we didn’t have to rely on being physically in an office during the pandemic. Zoom and Microsoft Teams became critical during that time.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about P3 Creative?

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up in the Washington, DC, area in my early years, followed by middle school and high school in Florida. I was always very outgoing and social. I spent 12 years in dance, played tennis on my high school team, but was always nominated for leadership roles in the various clubs I participated in.
