Hi Lisa Giuntoli and Deanna Zaccari, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The Nonpareil Stays story begins in 2014 as a collaborative venture between cousins Deanna Zaccari and Lisa Giuntoli. Their story started much earlier, growing up in a small western Pennsylvania town and then post-college, moving to Boston (Deanna) and NYC (Lisa) before reuniting in Los Angeles in late 1990.
Deanna Zaccari started her career as a Fashion Stylist and Sales Executive at Giorgio Armani before launching her lifestyle agency in 2005, serving high-profile clients in LA, NYC, and Miami. By 2011, she had built a highly successful property hosting business, earning recognition as an Airbnb Brand Ambassador and Super Host. Deanna also channels her passion for design into interior projects in both Maine and Los Angeles.
Lisa Giuntoli has a dynamic background in marketing and promotions, where she worked with major US record labels on campaigns for iconic artists like Lenny Kravitz, Janet Jackson, and The Rolling Stones. She also co-founded California Living, a boutique outdoor furnishings store, and has taken on various roles for top interior design firms and fashion brands in project management and marketing.
Our collective backgrounds & experience are the foundation of what we wanted to build as a company: a culture that stresses attention to detail, emphasizes the guest journey, and creates unique boutique stays for guests. We are known for providing exceptional guest care at all our houses and expertise and support for our homeowner clients and their properties.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We both moved from the east coast to LA in 1990, fell in love with the City and settled into west coast life. While we both enjoyed high-profile careers in other industries, we eventually left those to raise our families while dreaming of getting Nonpareil Stays launched. Building our business and our brand in Los Angeles has been a labor of love.
We faced the typical struggles of all entrepreneurs – not enough time, budgets, and overcoming obstacles to build a business and brand, while raising our children essentially as single parents. Focused and determined, we face challenges head-on and find solutions to keep building, growing, and moving forward.

Each Nonpareil Stays home has a digital guidebook for guests’ use that provides all the information they will need for their stay … from a manual on the home systems to providing resources for restaurants, activities, services, and more. Our hospitality-trained cleaning team services each home to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness for each guest’s stay are met. Unlike many other hosting & hospitality management companies, Nonpareil Stays is available to our guests 24/7 throughout their stay, providing concierge service as needed. Guests are welcome to elevate their stay with things like a stocked refrigerator upon arrival, wine, private chefs, massage/acupuncture, and more for additional fees and are not required to tackle any household chores beyond being a great guest and respecting these private homes.
We’ve spent the last decade mastering the art of upscale hospitality as architects of memorable getaways. In early 2025, we joined Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back community impact program, with every guest’s stay at a participating lodging and destination partner, funding local charities that are important to the local community. Nonpareil Stays designated charity, is the Wolf Connection, a sanctuary providing a healing haven for rescued wolves and wolfdogs. Not just a sanctuary, Wolf Connection is also a transformative space where individuals can connect with nature and deepen their understanding of wolves through educational programs, immersive experiences, and youth mentorship initiatives.
Our lifestyle brand, Nonpareil Living, is set to launch in mid-2025, with our first offerings, three signature-scent candles, home goods, and one-of-a-kind vintage furniture pieces.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Our childhoods were intertwined. Our mothers are sisters and we grew up together through high school. From birthday parties with the family, outings with our grandparents wading through creeks, running through cornfields, hiking in the woods, picking blackberries, baking together, celebrating holidays, high school football games, dance recitals and so much more.
