Hidden Gems: Meet Leah Avigdori

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Avigdori.

Hi Leah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been an esthetician since 1997. I did back to back schooling for massage therapy and esthetics. Before this and before it was common, I did courses in reflexology, aromatherapy and cranio sacral therapy. In 2001, I graduated from NYC’s The Natural Gourmet Cooking School as a certified vegetarian chef. I’ve always loved the nurturing and healing aspect of esthetics and the healing powers of food and good nutrition. I’ve gone down a long and winding road to get where I am today.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Of course, there have been struggles. But struggles are a part of life we all are presented with. I like to view them as opportunities for growth, reassessing what I want and do not want and let them empower me. Within every “struggle” there is a solution and I work to focus on that, the energy of the solution.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I come from a holistic perspective within my practice. I work to align a person’s inner and outer wellbeing and take into consideration three main things, what’s going on externally, internally and emotionally. All my methods and recommendations are focused on building, supporting and regenerating the skin and body as a whole. I work with a MD who is holistically focused for specific internal protocols which provide long-lasting results for my clients. My treatments incorporate a lot of hands-on techniques including connective tissue massage, sculptural face lifting massage, lymphatic drainage, face reflexology and gua sha. The one machine I live for and use in treatment for lifting, toning, reviving and building the face is microcurrent with Neurotris. I want my clients to feel transformed after a session with me. My goal with every treatment is to create space, raise vibrations and bring more alignment to each person I touch.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Being happy no matter where you are in life.
