Hi Laurie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2015, I started a merchandising company called EL ROAD. In the beginning, we focused on providing services for natural food and beverage brands. As we gained experience and built a solid reputation, our clients began asking us to do in-store demonstrations of their products in grocery stores. This involved sampling their products to customers, which helped to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
We started our operations in Los Angeles, but over time, we expanded our reach to cover the entire nation. Our commitment to providing exceptional services to our clients has enabled us to work with some of the most well-known natural food and beverage brands, including Barnana, Good Catch Foods, and Wildwonder.
Now, eight years since our inception, EL ROAD is still going strong. We have grown from a small startup to a nationwide company, and we continue to deliver the highest quality services to our clients. Our success is a testament to our hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
While our journey has been largely successful, we have definitely faced our fair share of challenges along the way. Perhaps the biggest struggle we’ve faced is the issue of no-shows at our in-store demonstrations. We pay stores to let us demo our clients’ products, and when people don’t show up, it creates a lot of extra work for us. We take pride in our company’s record of never missing a requested demo, but it often means working long hours and constantly searching for replacements.
Now, don’t get me wrong – we have an amazing team of brand ambassadors who work tirelessly to make our demos a success. Unfortunately, the problem of no-shows is all too common in our industry, and it can really take its toll on you. I sometimes feel like a detective, constantly tracking down leads and following up with potential replacements. It’s not easy, but we do it because we’re committed to delivering the best service possible to our clients.
