Today we’d like to introduce you to Juliana Martins.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was first introduced into the world of public relations when my good friend kept recommending me to join her as an intern at this PR firm in New York City she was working at. At the time, I was a junior in college studying communications and marketing, however was more focused in a broadcast journalism position. After a few months of my friend talking up her agency, I happily had an interview and ended up falling in love with the agency and the work I was learning/doing there. I got a taste of public relations and LOVED it! After a few years working for agencies, Covid hit and it caused many people to reevaluate what they want out of life. At the time, acquaintances kept reaching out to me via word of mouth recommendations, looking for PR support. Upon realizing that people needed my help, I started my own business, Eleven11 Media Relations and now am in charge of my own firm with multiple clients and am loving every second of it.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Of course, any time you start a new business there are challenges. While I have been in the media relations industry since college, operating a business myself is a whole new skill-set for me that takes ongoing learning, research and trial and error. It’s been thrilling building something up from scratch and thankfully I’ve had support and mentorship from people in my life that have insights into successfully operating an organization.

Eleven11 Media Relations is a one stop shop for securing top-tier media coverage and results for corporate brands and individual clients alike. Through Eleven11 Media Relations, we provide strategic consulting and solution-based services to amplify client messaging through strong media connections, influencer relationships and industry knowledge. My business also works with influencers on sourcing and facilitating third-party brand deals and campaigns, further building their personal brands. I think being a small business owner myself, I have grit and it makes me want to go above and beyond and hustle hard for my clients as well, providing them with the best results I can. If you have a problem or an idea, come to me and I want to find a solution through media or social media amplification/strategy.
What makes you happy?
People make me happy! It makes me happy in general connecting two entities, whether it be a brand to a person or person to person that once connected, find incredible synergies with each other. I think with the right people/team around you, nothing is impossible so seeing people get the gears turning from a conversation or idea with a new acquaintance is exciting. Traveling and experiencing other cultures also makes me happy. You don’t realize how much you learn from being exposed to different cultures, people and cities that can shape your overarching way of thinking. I love spending time with people that add value to my life by being kind, funny, intellectually stimulating or simply just a joy to be around.
