Hi Jimmy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I began my journey in entertainment at a young age but really became noticed as a celebrity clothing designer working with some of the biggest celebrities on the planet. From there, I became the fashion expert of the radio version of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy called Queer Eye for the Straight Y on Y-100 in South Florida.
I enjoyed it so much that I started my own show called The Jimmy Star Show with Ron Russell…

At the same time, I started working as a producer in films of all genres and was also named best entertainment publicist for my company, World Star PR. Everything I do is interrelated and complementary to each other.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I have had many struggles along the way… I had a clothing showroom in Pompano Beach, Florida, and the city illegally used eminent domain to take my property and failed to reimburse me for the millions of dollars invested in the property. It was a very difficult time, and I had to reinvent myself as a talk show host to move forward.
Struggles today include finding investors for films, as it seems that storylines are not important anymore, just the stars working in the film, which has led to an overabundance of terrible movies and terrible storylines.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think the world is changing a lot with AI, and I am not sure how it will all work out. I think that personal relationships will be the key to surviving the problems brought about by AI taking over every aspect of business, especially in the world of PR and making movies.
