Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Miller.
Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Prior to entering the world of Real Estate, I worked as a Marketing Director within the healthcare industry.
After graduating with a degree in Family and Consumer Science and Marketing, I started working with physicians in Beverly Hills. Later, I worked in Chicago for small to medium-sized businesses, helping doctors and medical companies build their practices and expand their operations.
I never intended on working in healthcare. However, I was extremely passionate about helping people achieve their professional goals.
When I moved from Chicago back home to California, my brother, a seasoned Realtor, recognized my innate desire to help others and suggested a career in real estate. After shadowing him for some time, it quickly became clear that real estate was my calling.
Personally, working as a Realtor means more than negotiating a sale, although that’s clearly an important skill set. I believe it’s about respecting, valuing, and appreciating relationships. I love meeting new people and building a solid relationships with my clients.
I become very passionate about their real estate goals and by the end of a transaction, they really become a part of my circle of friends and family. After several years in this business, I’m continually humbled and honored to be a trusted advocate and guide to my clients.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Entering this business was a relatively smooth transition.
I was fortunate to have some incredible clients trust me with the sale of their stunning penthouse condo in Brentwood. From that moment, I was off to the races. However, this industry does not function on a smooth road. Each and every transaction is unique and brings its own challenges and that’s honestly one of my favorite aspects of this business.
I believe that buying or selling a home means more than moving or making a sound investment. Purchasing a home is an interesting transaction because for most people this is one of the biggest purchases of their lives, centered around an emotionally charged place. As a wife and mother of two fun-loving little boys, I truly understand the importance of loving where you live. The value of homeownership and growing roots within a community are not lost on me.
Home is where we make the memories that we treasure the most. It’s where many people build a family, watch their kids take their first steps, cope with wins and losses, and gather with loved ones. As a Realtor, my passion is to be a fierce advocate for families to achieve their hopes and dreams, through real estate.
It’s a tremendous privilege to create an efficient, easy, positive, and memorable experience for both buyers and sellers in Los Angeles. I pride myself on bringing solutions to the table. I believe my job is to make the bumpy road feel like a smooth and easy ride for my clients.
As you know, we’re big fans of Jessica Miller Real Estate. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I always feel extremely honored and privileged to support and advocate for my buyers and sellers.
The truth is, there are a lot of wonderful real estate agents in Los Angeles. I feel so honored to work with so many of them. Technically, we all do the same thing and we all bring our own unique perspectives and personalities to the process. I’m proud to bring a refined, highly educated, creative, and skilled approach to marketing and serving my client’s best interests.
Above all, I believe my clients value my supportive and caring nature. From the moment I begin learning about my client’s needs, to the day we close escrow, I strive to make each client feel that their needs and goals are the most important component of the process. I spend a great amount of time asking my clients questions about what’s important within and around their ideal home.
Oftentimes, it’s those discussions that help people uncover what they most value in a prospective property and neighborhood. I work with first-time home buyers and sellers, as well as seasoned investors. I’ve been so fortunate to work throughout Los Angeles and specialize in having the ability to combine my emotional intelligence with a strategic mindset, making me an astute negotiator and advocate.
I’m extremely passionate about being an exceptionally good Realtor. I’m constantly looking to sharpen my skillset so I can stay ahead of market trends. My goal is to provide tremendous value, education, and support to my clients. My love of real estate, and running a thriving business, is based on my fierce loyalty to serving my client’s best interests.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
One of the greatest parts about working in real estate is that each day, property, and clients are unique. This is why I believe it’s so important to be a knowledgeable agent.
I am constantly utilizing the MLS to follow market trends, watching weekly changes in supply and demand. I love geeking out on real estate stats and Realtor coaching podcasts, such as the Tom Ferry Podcast.
When I’m not rocking out to show tunes in the car, I’m usually listening to different Podcasts like Heal Thy Self, We Can Do Hard Things and the Jasmine Star Show. I also really enjoy listening to Audible. Some of my current reads, or listens, are Daring Greatly, Stealing Fire, and The Power of Moments.
