Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenneca Andrew.
Hi Jenneca, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve known from a young age that I wanted to go into the medical field. My mom is a nurse, and growing up around her work sparked my fascination with healthcare. My first real exposure to the field came in high school, when I volunteered as a student athletic trainer. That experience led me to take an athletic training course, where I fell in love with anatomy and the connection between movement and healing.
Over time, my interests evolved toward the rehabilitation side of medicine. In physical therapy school, I found myself captivated by every specialty we studied—until a lecture on pelvic health physical therapy truly struck a chord. Living with endometriosis and adenomyosis, I was deeply moved to learn that pelvic pain could be treated with more than “just take some ibuprofen.” That realization lit a fire in me, and I dove headfirst into pelvic health, taking every course I could as soon as I graduated.
Since earning my degree, I’ve worked in several outpatient orthopedic clinics—one of which I helped pioneer a pelvic health program for—and in a urology office. In July 2025, I took the leap to run my own cash-based pelvic health practice full time, and I haven’t looked back. This field is not just my career; it’s my passion, and it continues to grow every day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh no, it hasn’t been a smooth road at all. From productivity standards that clashed with my treatment style to challenges with insurance reimbursement, there were many moments when my career felt limited by systems that didn’t align with my values. I felt a strong calling to care for my patients at a level that the traditional insurance model simply didn’t support. I often found myself advocating fiercely—fighting to keep session times long enough to provide meaningful care, justifying every piece of equipment that could support my patients, and longing for the mentorship I needed to continue growing as a clinician.
Now that I’m running my own practice, the challenges haven’t disappeared—but the difference is that I now have the autonomy to address them with intention and purpose Operating a cash-based practice allows me to provide the level of care I believe my patients deserve, but it also means there’s an entire population that simply cannot access my services due to financial constraints. This reality weighs heavily on me, because everyone deserves quality pelvic health care, regardless of their ability to pay.
Recognizing this gap, I’m working to create a sponsorship program that will allow me to take on pro bono clients. My goal is to partner with local businesses and community members who are passionate about expanding access to pelvic health services, so that patients who need treatment but can’t afford it can still receive the care they deserve.
Despite these challenges, I remain hopeful and driven to be part of the change that expands access to quality pelvic health care for everyone who needs it.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a solo, cash-based, board-certified pelvic floor physical therapist serving Riverside County. I provide comprehensive pelvic floor physical therapy services for people of all ages and genders. My advanced training includes fertility support, visceral mobilization, pregnancy and postpartum exercise, pelvic pain, bowel and bladder dysfunction, prolapse, endometriosis, and more.
While my practice supports a wide range of pelvic health concerns, my true passion lies in treating pelvic pain and helping patients optimize their fertility outcomes. Above all, I prioritize my patients’ comfort. The greatest compliment I can receive is when a patient tells me, “You made an uncomfortable situation feel comfortable.” That’s exactly what I strive for—a safe, welcoming environment where every individual feels seen, supported, and empowered.
Each session lasts a full hour and is completely tailored to the patient’s unique needs. There’s no “cookbook” approach in pelvic floor physical therapy—no two sessions look exactly the same. My care is guided by the person in front of me, their goals, and their comfort level.
One thing I always want people to know is that pelvic floor physical therapy is so much more than Kegels. It’s about understanding the whole body—how the pelvic floor interacts with posture, breath, movement, and emotion—to restore balance, function, and confidence.
What truly sets my practice apart is the blend of clinical expertise, compassion, and patient-centered care that defines every interaction. I’m proud to offer a space where healing happens through education, trust, and individualized attention.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is balance—specifically, maintaining a healthy work-life balance. One of the biggest motivations behind starting my own practice was the desire to create a life that allows me to fully show up in every role I hold. I absolutely love what I do as a pelvic floor physical therapist, but I’m also a mother and a wife.
I’ve learned that I can’t pour from an empty cup. I can’t give my best to my patients if I’ve already given everything to my family that day—and I can’t be fully present at home if I’ve overextended myself at work. Finding that balance allows me to show up as the best version of myself in every area of my life. That’s what truly matters most to me.
