Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared White.
Hi Jared, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The birth of my content creation agency, TIMK UNLIMITED LLC, began with a simple question from a friend back in 2015: “What are you doing creatively?”
At the time, I was climbing the corporate ladder—starting out as an executive assistant—and while I had the titles, I felt anxious, unfulfilled, and honestly, a little lost. I had made the mistake of assigning my sense of identity to how I earned my income. That question shook something loose in me. It reminded me that I had more to offer than my LinkedIn profile.
I took that energy and turned it into action. People had always complimented my style, so I leaned in. I told a coworker (now one of my closest friends), “Every day at 4 o’clock, you’re taking a photo of my outfit.” This was before curated content was a thing—back when social media was all “post and go.” But I understood, even then, the power of storytelling through curation. That’s how my “Outfit of the Day” series began.
From there, I pursued styling seriously, earning credits in Vogue Italia and Elle Canada, all by following the next feasible step—not the fanciest or most guaranteed, but the one that made sense in the moment. That mindset—of taking the right next step—has guided me ever since.
Over the years, I’ve launched and explored multiple creative ventures while maintaining a successful career in sales at companies like Better Homes & Gardens, Dotdash Meredith, Condé Nast, MovieTickets.com, BBC, and USA TODAY.
Today, TIMK UNLIMITED LLC is proud to introduce our newest content offering:
The FRWD MOTION FITNESS 6-Week Program — a journal and system designed to help people get unstuck and move forward with intention. It’s not just about fitness — it’s about creating momentum in your life, one step at a time.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been anything but smooth — and honestly, that’s part of the joy of it. If it were easy, it wouldn’t stretch us in the ways we need to grow. Every project I’ve launched has been impacted by life in some way, but each challenge taught me to pivot, refocus, and stay in motion.
Just as my career as a stylist was beginning to take off — I had the credits, I was building the right relationships — the world shut down. COVID hit, and like many others in the creative industry, I had to shift gears. Fashion, as we knew it, changed overnight. I was still so green in the industry that I didn’t have the foundation to weather that kind of storm, so I redirected my focus to my corporate career while searching for new ways to creatively express myself.
That’s when I launched the Not Your Enemy podcast — a response to the civil unrest and the urgent calls for racial justice. It became a space to amplify Black voices and other marginalized communities during a time when it felt like the world was finally listening. That project was meaningful, raw, and necessary.
And then, life shifted again — this time, personally. My mother made her transition – my support system, my guiding force. Her passing broke me open. I stopped everything. I gave myself permission to sit down, be still, and truly heal.
Struggles are part of the territory. What matters is how you move through them — even if it’s slow, even if it’s messy. One of the things my mom and I used to say to each other whenever life threw something heavy our way was, “Keep it moving.” That phrase lives in me now — not just as a reminder, but as a way of life. That’s what FRWD MOTION is about. It’s not about pretending the road is easy. It’s about taking the next step anyway.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
During my healing journey, one thing became crystal clear: to truly move forward in life, the mind, body, and soul must be in alignment. That realization led to the creation of our latest offering, FRWD MOTION FITNESS — a program inspired by my own experience rebuilding structure, discipline, and self-trust through intentional movement.
FRWD MOTION FITNESS isn’t just about working out — it’s about showing up for yourself in a way that’s consistent, grounded, and empowering. Our first product, The 6-Week Fitness Program, is a journal-guided challenge that encourages participants to hit the gym four times a week for six weeks while gently improving their eating habits and mental health practices. It’s a simple, self-paced experience — not about perfection, but about progress.
Once someone completes the challenge, they’ll have the opportunity to work with me directly to create a personalized program based on their goals — whether it’s fitness, mindset, business, or creativity. What sets FRWD MOTION FITNESS apart is our holistic approach to progress and the deep support we offer across every area of life.
I’m especially proud of the community we’re building through the brand — especially our weekly newsletter. The feedback has been incredible. The insights I share each week have genuinely helped people navigate their own growth journeys, and I always say: it’s not about pushing harder — it’s about moving with clarity. If you’re curious or could use a little momentum, definitely sign up at frwdmotionfitness.com — the email community is really something special.
At the end of the day, I believe we all get off track sometimes. That’s human. What matters most is having something (or someone) to help guide you back. That’s what this brand is here for: to remind people it’s okay to reset, to regroup — and to keep it moving.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Align yourself with people who are building something — or who have already built something. That can be your friends, your coworkers, even your family. Mentorship doesn’t always show up in a polished package. Sometimes it’s just a conversation with someone who sees the world a little differently and helps you sharpen your own vision.
That said, I’ve learned over time that not all advice is aligned advice — especially in corporate spaces. A lot of the feedback you receive is subjective, and it often reflects the values or limitations of the person giving it. One principle I stand by is: “Don’t take advice from someone who isn’t living the life you want.”
If someone is offering insight from a place of fear, control, or outdated ideas of success, take that into account. It doesn’t mean they’re wrong — it just means they’re speaking from their own framework. Your job is to take what resonates, apply what aligns, and leave the rest.
In terms of networking — show up. Go to the conference. Attend the panel. Say yes to the invite. And when you do, have your elevator pitch ready. Know your offering, and more importantly, know why it matters.
And here’s the part people forget: Be the mentor you’re looking for! We attract what we are. If you show up generously, with wisdom, experience, and curiosity, you’ll naturally draw others who do the same. We all have something to offer — and when you lead from that place, mentorship becomes reciprocal. It always comes back around.
