I’ve always been driven by two things — advocacy and impact. My legal career began with a simple belief: that law can be both powerful and personal. After graduating and gaining experience across complex litigation and defense work, I founded Ivannov & Associates, a boutique California law firm built on precision, integrity, and a concierge-style approach to client care.

When I started, I had no large firm infrastructure although connected to hundreds of attorneys nationwide or external funding — just an unwavering commitment to excellence and a desire to redefine what legal representation feels like. I spent years refining my craft, developing a reputation for being relentless in litigation yet deeply empathetic with clients.

Today, my firm is known as “The Concierge of Defense” — a brand that reflects our commitment to personalized, high-caliber service.

What keeps me motivated is seeing that persistence pays off. Every challenge taught me something — whether about leadership, law, or resilience — and I’ve learned that success isn’t just about winning cases, but about leading with purpose, lifting others, and building something that lasts.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road — but I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything. Building a law firm from the ground up – regardless of the experience- means learning to operate without a safety net.

The hardest part wasn’t the workload; it was maintaining clarity and composure when things didn’t go as planned. In law, you’re constantly navigating unpredictability : clients in crisis, opposing counsel tactics, delayed hearings, and the pressure to deliver results no matter what, and you take every single case personally.

However, every challenge strengthened my discipline, refined my leadership, and reinforced my belief that resilience is a learned skill. Each obstacle, supports my firm today, and you learn that every practitioner- if they are a zealous advocate- goes through the same.

Now, when I look back, I see that the “struggles” were really just chapters in the story of becoming more precise, patient, and fearless in the pursuit of what I set out to build.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is perfection — or at least, striving for it. I’ve always been a perfectionist by nature, I compliment my parents for that, not blame, because there’s real satisfaction in knowing that every detail of a case was handled with care and precision.

But what truly brings me happiness is helping people in a way that feels genuine. When a client looks at me after a long and difficult process and says, “God bless you,” it reminds me why I do what I do. Those are the moments that stay with me.

I look at every case individually, and at the end of each day, I ask myself one question: Did I do absolutely everything I could have done for this client? If I can honestly say yes — that I gave it my all, that I fought for them with everything I had — then I’m content. That’s my peace, and my peace is my happiness.

Those moments remind me why I chose this profession — because behind every case, there’s a human being who needs someone to fight for them, to listen, and to care. And when they feel that, that’s my definition of happiness.
