Today we’d like to introduce you to Danny Maldonado.
Hi Danny, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 1966, my Uncle Joe Maldonado started our family in the window film industry. Back then, it was a product called Flow-On Liquid Tint. My father used to install alongside his brother Joe for many years. When I was born in 1992, most of my first cousins were in their 20’s and installing films/tint alongside the family. When I was a young teen, I began installing alongside my cousin John. I worked with family for many years, as well as other companies who offered window tinting and cleaning services. Eventually, I decided I wanted to get away from the window industry and got a sales job at a local construction company. Sales was always my strength, and I did pretty well within my first several months. Yet after spending a little less than a year at the company, I began to identify some toxicity in the business and decided that it was time to go my separate way. In late 2016, I decided to come back to the window industry and start Prestige Window Solutions. I started slow, just myself doing all sales, all installations, all production and all billing. Little by little, I continued to build the business. Slowly finding new talent to join the team and setting and reaching new goals. My first hire was my cousin Lisa. Lisa had many years experience in the industry, as her father was my Uncle Joe, and she also understood my core focus and goals for the business. From there we continued to move forward. More friends, and family joined along the way, and with a strong focus on customer service and quality and careful selection of our team members, I can proudly say that today, at the end of 2021, we now have 12 employees on payroll and are on track to do our largest year yet.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
NO, lol smooth roads don’t exist.
Every week it seems there is a different struggle. Lol, Nothing comes easy, but it always works out. It has taken patience, optimism, strong leadership, and more to overcome issues along the way and maintain positivity and motivation amongst our team.
I would say some of the most challenging struggles are managing budgets and strategic plans to maintain growth and to ensure support of everyone’s incomes.

We are a Commercial and Residential Window Film & Security Glazing Installation Company. We specialize in improving glass, whether in regards to performance, aesthetics or security. I would say what sets us apart is our unique history in the industry and our level of professionalism and experience. I am most proud of our company culture. We are a small family with BIG heart. Everyone on our team CARES, and it is felt every step of the way.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe one’s willingness to take risks will determine their success. Risk equals reward. Everyone has heard that… but it is definitely a true statement. Every decision I have ever had to make heavily involved some degree of risk. I believe that as long as you are making a calculated risk, it is absolutely necessary. Be sure to have a pure intention, study, and execute a methodical plan. If the planning was well thought, the risk will equal reward!
