Hidden Gems: Meet Chase Lin of Novus Automations

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase Lin

Hi chase, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
At Novus Automations, the journey is deeply tied to my own passion for streamlining processes and helping businesses run more efficiently. I started with a strong foundation in workflow automation and quickly realized how powerful the right systems can be in saving both time and money. This passion naturally led me to dive into platforms like Make.com, where I began helping businesses automate their operations and eliminate repetitive tasks.

What really fueled my drive was seeing firsthand how impactful automation could be—not just for large corporations but for startups and growing businesses too. Early on, I worked on projects that involved everything from email campaign management using tools like Smartlead to building influencer analytics dashboards that could save companies thousands annually. Every success reinforced my belief that automation isn’t just about technology—it’s about creating meaningful, real-world solutions that make life easier for business owners and their teams.

As I built more expertise, I began developing advanced, production-ready solutions that went beyond basic automations. From real estate and venture capital niches to outbound sales and cold email campaigns, I focused on building systems that delivered measurable results. Along the way, I also tapped into my skills with platforms like Tokeet, Zoho, and even AI-powered tools for content creation and lead generation.

Today, my work at Novus Automations is all about helping businesses unlock their full potential. I focus on creating customized solutions that fit each client’s specific needs—whether it’s automating marketing workflows, developing AI chatbots, or setting up cold email systems with warmed-up domains for better deliverability.

What drives me is the ability to help businesses scale faster and more effectively. I’ve seen how the right automation strategy can completely transform operations, and my goal is to bring that level of impact to every client I work with.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s definitely been an up-and-down journey, especially since I’m new to owning an agency. There’s been a lot to learn along the way—everything from refining my service offerings to figuring out the best way to manage clients, projects, and the day-to-day operations that come with running a business.

One of the biggest challenges has been finding the right balance between offering broad automation solutions and niching down to scale effectively. At first, it felt easier to offer a wide range of services, but I quickly realized that to grow, I needed to focus on areas where I could provide the most value—like outbound sales automation, cold email systems, and process optimization for industries like real estate and venture capital.

I’ve also had to learn the technical side of running email campaigns—understanding domain health, setting up multiple domains and servers, and using platforms like Smartlead effectively. On top of that, figuring out how to structure my outreach and ensure high deliverability rates was a learning curve.

Another challenge has been simply getting comfortable wearing all the hats that come with running an agency—handling client relationships, building systems, managing technical setups, and learning to sell my services effectively. Each step has been a lesson, and while the road hasn’t always been smooth, every challenge has pushed me to grow and refine both my skills and the way I run Novus Automations.

It’s still a journey, but every obstacle has made me better equipped to help businesses scale through automation—and that’s what keeps me moving forward.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy comes down to three main things: pickleball, my work, and helping people understand the power of automation.

Pickleball is my go-to for fun, connection, and a good challenge. There’s something about being on the court, getting in the zone, and playing with others that brings me a lot of joy. It’s not just about the competition—it’s the social aspect, meeting new people, and building a sense of community through the game. Plus, it’s a great way to clear my head and stay energized.

When it comes to work, what makes me happiest is seeing the impact automation can have on a business. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping companies streamline their operations, save time, and scale more effectively. Every time I build a system that cuts hours of manual work down to seconds, or when a client sees real growth because of something I set up—it’s a reminder of why I do this. It’s not just about technology; it’s about giving people back their time and helping businesses operate more efficiently.

But what really brings it all together for me is teaching people about automation and showing them how powerful it can be. A lot of business owners don’t realize how much time and energy they’re wasting on repetitive tasks until they see what’s possible. Helping someone go from overwhelmed by their workload to running streamlined, automated systems that free up their time—that’s where the magic happens. It’s not just about setting up automations; it’s about helping people feel empowered by technology and showing them how they can scale their business smarter and faster.

At the end of the day, whether it’s on the pickleball court or working with clients, it all comes back to connecting with people and helping them reach their goals—that’s what truly makes me happy.
