Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantal Mariotti.
Hi Chantal, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After working 18 years in the hospitality industry as a Human Resources Director, in 2003, I resigned, and created “Executive HR Consulting Group”, a boutique HR consulting firm servicing all industries. After working solo for the first 10 years as it’s sole consultant, I solicited other HR consultants to assist. The company grew organically for the next 10 years. After being in business for over two decades, in 2022, I changed my business model to become an HR Referral platform, matching employer needs with their perfect HR Consultant. Today I continue to offer an HR Employee Integrity Hotline for employers, and continue to provide the hospitality industry with an annual benefits & compensation survey. These surveys began in 2003 with approximately 30 hotels in Los Angeles, and now services hundreds of hotels throughout the country.
This new platform has given me the opportunity to spend quality time with my grandkids, exercise every day, nurture my passion for painting and walking my dog Theo. My office is now 1/2 office and 1/2 art studio. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been smooth but scary, especially when I voluntarily resigned from a secure employment to jump into creating my own company. Although I had a one year independent contractor agreement with my ex employer, the future was unknown. I would say to myself that if this didn’t work, I could still go out and look for new employment. But I gave it my all and it paid off.

Currently, since 2022 when I transitioned my business to become a referral platform, I make sure my website is always up and running, and up to date. I add consultants and promote them monthly on various platforms (my website in the form of a blog, in my newsletter and on LinkedIn). I match inquiries to the perfect consultant that can assist that employer. I monitor the Employee Integrity Hotline daily and work on the annual benefits & compensation surveys.
I am very proud of my logo and my brand. But most of all, I am proud and cherish the “Trust” that I have gained these past 20+ years.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
From the age of 12 to 25, I grew up in the south of France and came back to the US in 1980. I always loved animals, particularly horses and dogs. I remember as a child loving to paint, which I took back up later on in life. I love languages and speak fluently English and French – Conversation Spanish as well.
I spent many summers in the South of Spain (Malaga & Torremolinos) and attended a summer university session to improve my Spanish. I love languages and the broad spectrum that it brings, allowing the understanding of different cultures. Living in Cairo Egypt for a couple of years was eye opening.
