Today we’d like to introduce you to Casey Haynes.

Hi Casey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers. 
I spent many years working with CPA and CFO firms who were stuck in the past in terms of processes, systems, and methods. I started my firm in 2017 to bring accounting into the modern era and provide high-level services while creating more efficiency and convenience for our team and our clients. 

Started my firm as a virtual firm in 2017 and gave my old employer a 6-month notice. 

Took a couple clients in the first year and travel abroad. Then came back in 2018 and started to double in size year over year to today. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never been a smooth road. Owning a small business is a constant struggle. I’ve had partner disagreements and had partners leave the firm. There’s been cash flow struggles at times with the volatility of working with small businesses that are in business one day and out of business the next. Long hours. Complicated budgets. Underbilling clients. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
We are a boutique consulting firm that focuses on proactive planning services that go beyond the typical level of service you traditionally get from an accountant. We offer full CFO, FP&A, and finance services for businesses, along with full accounting teams. We are a team-based model that integrates with our client’s companies, teams, and goals. 

I’m most proud of the team I built. We all share the same core values of proactiveness, accountability and ownership, fun & supportive, and having a growth mindset. My team works incredibly hard and cares about our clients. 

We specialize in driving growth for clients through intentional planning and being data-driven. 

What’s next?
Frankly, we just launched a bit of a revamp of our tax services. We’re considering a new service area to launch operations around. Right now, we’re focused on adding more clients and building out our team and infrastructure more.
