Hidden Gems: Meet Carli Abiuso of Your Hero’s Quest

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carli Abiuso

Hi Carli, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been drawn to creative expression from as early as I can remember. As a child, I spent countless hours singing, dancing, writing, and drawing—anything that let me bring a spark of imagination to life. At the same time, I was completely enchanted by fantasy worlds. I started reading really young and always had a book in hand, diving into magical realms and finding myself in the characters, as well as watching The Wizard of Oz and Labyrinth on repeat, shaping my love for storytelling and adventure. I was fascinated by learning in general, always asking my very smart grandfather a million questions about all different topics. He told my mom (as she recounts), “watch this one: she’s going to do great things.”

That passion for stories led me to pursue a BA in English Literature, where I deepened my understanding of narrative and the power of words to inspire and transform. After graduating, I followed my heart into pursuing a career in the performing arts, dancing and acting in NYC and later in LA. I loved it, but I had also embarked on a spiritual and self-development journey and began to sense that my purpose was evolving—I wanted to not just tell stories but also help others discover and live their own.

That’s when I was introduced to manifestation and later, the concept of the hero’s journey. It was a lightbulb moment for me. I realized that the themes I’d loved growing up—courage, transformation, and self-discovery—weren’t just for the pages of fantasy novels. They were tools for real-life growth and magic. Today, as a manifestation and hero’s journey coach, I combine my creative background with my love for storytelling to guide others on their personal quests. It’s the perfect blend of everything I’ve always been passionate about: creativity, transformation, and helping people write and live their own extraordinary myths.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road definitely has been more like a winding path with a lot of uphill climbs and several side quests. One of the biggest challenges was being far from my family at a young age while pursuing my dreams in NYC and LA. As much as I loved the adventure, there were times (and still are!) when I deeply missed that sense of home and connection, or felt like I was missing out on important moments and events with them.

Another struggle was the constant juggling act. To succeed in both my artistic and entrepreneurial pursuits, I often had to prioritize my goals above relationships and social time. Supporting myself financially added another layer of complexity, as I had to take on outside jobs to sustain myself while also pouring as much time and energy into my passions as possible. It sometimes felt like I was wearing too many hats—artist, entrepreneur, employee—and trying to keep them all in the air.

Perhaps the hardest part was being the one who always had to believe in myself and pick myself back up, even when it didn’t seem like things were working out. There were moments of deep self-doubt: am I on the right path? Am I going to be successful in this? But this led to a deeper faith in the unseen, in God, in forces I could feel rooting for me, in my destiny and in my soul’s purpose. I had to remind myself of my “why,” and keep moving forward, even when no one else could see the vision I was holding for myself.

Each of these struggles have shaped me into who I am today. They’ve taught me resilience, self-trust, self-healing, self-confidence, and how to find joy and purpose in the process, not just the destination. These lessons now guide the work I do, helping others believe in themselves and navigate their own hero’s journey, no matter how winding the path may seem!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Your Hero’s Quest?
Your Hero’s Quest empowers people to step into the role of the hero in their own lives. I help clients rediscover their true authenticity and write their personal myth—not the one anyone else has told them they should be living, but the one they were destined for. The one in their heart. I guide individuals to uncover their purpose, overcome limiting beliefs, and create and a life that feels like a dream come true.

What sets Your Hero’s Quest apart is the way I combine storytelling, fantasy, and personal growth. Archetypes like the forest, the wizard, dragons, and labyrinths aren’t meant to be confined to the pages of a book or scenes in a movie—they hold powerful lessons for our lives. I use these symbols to make personal development deeply personal, expansive, FUN, and exciting!

One of my signature and upcoming offerings is the Hero’s Journey: A 6-Week Mythic Transformation. This program is unlike any other out there: it takes clients on a fantasy-inspired journey into their inner forest, where they’ll meet several different mystical guides, recover lost parts of themselves, uncover hidden strengths, and gain the tools to manifest their dream life. Through visualization, coaching, and actionable steps, clients emerge from this forest adventure with renewed purpose, power, and a deeper connection to the great mystery.

What I’m most proud of is reminding my clients and community how important their personal tale is in the grand tapestry of the Universe. That when the hero saves him or herself, they save the world. In a world that often feels increasingly lacking in beauty and inspiration, work like this offers a transformational experience and bridge between the mundane and magical. It resonates with those who feel that spark of magic inside but aren’t sure how to follow it; who know they are meant for more but are intimidated by the unknown.

Your Hero’s Quest is more than coaching. It’s an invitation to embark on the greatest adventure of your life: into your wonderful self! Wherever you’re starting, you can create a new and empowered story. I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People can work with me through the many offers I have! 1:1 coaching, tarot readings, the group course I mentioned, and even text and voice note coaching for real-time guidance and mindset shifts. I am always open to collaborations; I love to be a podcast guest and would love to collaborate with brands that align with Your Hero’s Quest! I also just started making chainmail jewelry that really gives you that medieval-I’m-setting-out-on-a-quest vibe, and three amazing pieces are available for purchase in my online store!
