Hidden Gems: Meet Caitlin Molloy of True Healers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Molloy.

Hi Caitlin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story began when I was a kid. I grew up with a physical therapist mother who was constantly working all the time and struggling to make ends meet. And while she was out working hard, I was a latch key kid dealing with sexual abuse from a close family member. The trauma of this eventually led me into being a rebellious teen dabbling into things that were not meant for kids and I ended up going to three different high schools and two different rehabs before the age of 17. Shortly after becoming an adult, my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She went through treatment including chemoradiation and a hysterectomy – this cleared her for two years, when it came back it was found her pancreas and she was only left a few months to live. The loss of my mother and childhood trauma propelled me into a space of wanting to help and heal other people never wanting them to feel the pain that I felt alone.

Throughout my young adulthood, I spent my time gaining extensive business knowledge as well as experience in the health, wellness and fitness space. Diving into this industry made me feel supported and it made me feel like I was amongst like-minded people and that it was OK to have experienced trauma. Over the years, I saw the transformation in myself from using different styles of healing and wanted to share this with others. I believe that keeping your mind, body and spirit in good health is extremely important to leading a happy balanced life. All of the life events I’ve experienced thus far have led me down the path to creating true healers so that we can spread healing and harmony amongst the world

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s not been the smoothest road, starting a business is tough! You go into it with one idea but executing it is completely different than just an idea in your head, so yes we’ve run into many issues however we’ve had fun plowing past them all and figuring out new ways to tackle struggles or issues when they come our way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
True Healers is 100% woman founded by myself Caitlin Molloy and my partner Jaqulyne Roe. We started on this journey over a year ago and haven’t stopped building since. True healers is the premier holistic healing platform that seamlessly connects expert holistic practitioners with consumers seeking to lead happier, healthier, and more balanced lives. We offer a variety of different healing modalities which we feel is important to attain the best healing possible. True Healers’ goal is to make a positive impact on the world and is currently a pending benefits Corporation. We offer top-of-the-line services through the careful vetting of our holistic healthcare practitioners, all while featuring a real career path for professionals through fair pay and attractive “salary benefits”, so Healers can focus on what they do best, True Healing.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My partner Jaqulyne Roe – she blows me away and I couldn’t picture my life without her in it, let alone building this business without her. It’s been a team effort amongst the two of us to get as far as we have with this company; between the actual work of the business and funding the business on our own. Jaqulyne‘s been legally blind since birth and she works harder than anyone I’ve ever met, to the point where I don’t even realize she has a disability. I love her so much and I wouldn’t want to be on this journey without her.

Most of the pics are of Jaqulyne and I, but there is one with four of us, that one has my boyfriend Nick Thomas and our family friend who has been our #1 supporter and helping to make this dream a reality, Robert aka Bob Garde.
