Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Lynn
Hi Brianna , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I laugh every time I share this story, and honestly, it all happened by accident. I initially wanted to be a writer or a fashion photographer while pursuing my education. However, fate had different plans. I struck up friendships with a few small business owners on Twitter, leading me to collaborate with them on content for their websites and social media. Surprisingly, my Instagram presence skyrocketed almost overnight.
As Instagram became the latest trend, I began showcasing my work on the platform, whether I was behind the camera or in front of it. This caught the attention of numerous brands, who eagerly sent me their products, allowing me to create captivating content. This unexpected turn of events transformed me into a full-time influencer, unlocking a multitude of opportunities.
In 2019, after working at a marketing agency that felt like a client mill, I followed my intuition to quit my last 9-5 and create INTUITIVE SOCIAL. Then, in 2024, I founded STUDIO INTUITIVE to return to my photography and content creation roots for brands and agencies worldwide. Something about that last 9-5 made me depressed, so I took some unpaid time off, went to Bali to find myself, and here we are.
I started INTUITIVE SOCIAL with all my savings and cashed-out PTO. When I was down to my last three cents, my business blew up. We hit seven figures in 2022 and expanded to create STUDIO INTUITIVE, which is already picking up. I’m so excited to see what’s next for us.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never a smooth road for entrepreneurs. There were countless times when I wanted to sell the agency and go back to a 9-5, but with the support of my mom and friends, I kept going, and I’m so glad I did. Entrepreneurship is not for everyone, and it’s not as easy as these “TikTok” personas make it seem. Burnout is real. Extreme fatigue is difficult. Your experiences, both good and bad, turn into valuable lessons, from hiring contractors to firing bad clients. Boundaries are so important. You’ll gain and lose money. Not all money is good money, which is why I’m so selective about whom I work with. I love saying ‘no’ to protect my boundaries as a business owner.
I’ve been used and burned, but I kept going. Reflecting on five years as an agency owner, here are some hard-earned lessons that have shaped my journey:
/01 Contracts are crucial: Regular updates and professional legal counsel are non-negotiable. Don’t settle for online templates—invest in solid agreements tailored to your needs.
/02 Maintain boundaries: Whether with clients or team members, professionalism is key. Keep personal matters out of the equation and establish clear boundaries to foster healthy working relationships.
/03 Outsource wisely: Before delegating tasks, crunch the numbers. Ensure outsourcing aligns with your margins and budget; if it doesn’t make financial sense, reconsider your approach.
/04 Know your worth: Charge what you deserve, but also educate your leads. Transparency is key; address common questions upfront, including budget discussions, to streamline the discovery process.
/05 Embrace change: Adaptability is essential in business. Be open to updates and improvements—flexibility often leads to growth and success.
/06 Stay resilient: Entrepreneurship is a rollercoaster ride. Don’t let setbacks deter you. Stay focused, persevere, and trust that better things are on the horizon.
/07 Invest in yourself and your business. Continuous learning and development are vital for staying ahead in a competitive landscape.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
With the digital space constantly evolving, brands are changing how they hire or outsource to agencies and studios. Their investments often go to the wrong areas, especially with platforms like Instagram making it harder to be seen or make sales without paying to play. Social media can start to feel like an unneeded chore, leading to neglect. More brands are opting for consulting and hiring strategists on retainer to navigate this shift. INTUITIVE SOCIAL and STUDIO INTUITIVE are adapting to meet these needs.
INTUITIVE SOCIAL will focus more on consulting and social strategy, while still handling a few full-service social media clients, including advertising. STUDIO INTUITIVE is planning to establish a home base in London, allowing us to work closely with creative teams and brands worldwide. This shift will help us continue to support brands where they need it most.
