Hi ALMA, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my candle business during a very challenging time financially. I knew I wanted to create an online business, and candles had always been a deep passion of mine. However, I was frustrated with the high prices and the toxic ingredients often found in many candles, which inspired me to create an organic, luxurious alternative.
I spent countless hours researching and learning how to make candles, determined to bring my vision to life. Now, three years later, I’ve formed my LLC, launched my online store, and am expanding my product line. My next goal is to introduce new products and, eventually, open my own shop
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting my candle business came with its fair share of challenges. Financial difficulties were a major hurdle in the beginning, which made launching a business even more daunting. Building an online presence and navigating the complexities of running an e-commerce business also required a learning curve. From sourcing the right materials to understanding marketing and branding, every step demanded patience and persistence. However, my passion for candles and my commitment to offering a clean, non-toxic alternative kept me motivated.

Unlike mass-produced candles from drugstores, which are often made overseas, my candle line offers a truly unique experience. Each candle is individually handcrafted with care, using only non-toxic, high-quality ingredients. The result is a one-of-a-kind fragrance that stands apart—rich, luxurious, and unlike anything else on the market.
As I continue to grow, I plan to expand my product line to include spa-inspired essentials such as air diffusers, body butters, and body scrubs. My goal is to create the ultimate spa experience, where my tranquil candles are complemented by self-care products that promote relaxation and well-being.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned on my journey is the value of pursuing something you’re truly passionate about. I truly believe that when you focus on something you love, you have the potential to accomplish anything you set your mind to.
