Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
People won’t notice the late nights, early mornings, self-doubt, failures, obstacles, risks, and money invested. They will only see your results and call you lucky. Don’t expect them to understand.

Hi, my name is Aaron Kelly, and I am the CEO and owner of AK Entertainment. AK Entertainment develops, sells, produces, market/promotes, and distributes film and television stories worldwide from fresh talented creative voices with excellent credentials and experience.
I thought of the brilliant idea of AK Entertainment here in Los Angeles, CA, after being on the set of a FOX TV Production named Rosewood starring Morris Chestnut and Jania Lee Ortiz. The production crew nicknamed me AK because multiple production assistants named Aaron were on set. Thus, the nickname inspired AK Entertainment’s existence.
Since the company’s formation, fresh creative voices joined in and made irresistible stories resonating in the crowds before and during the pandemic.
As the country reopens and Vaccinations flow, I want to influence inclusion, humility, teamwork, and integrity. I do what I do because of my passion for creating jobs for entertainment professionals and interns and generating motion pictures, animation, and television stories.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My main obstacle in Los Angeles was not having the ability to afford shelter and without essential financial resources left me stressed about day-to-day responsibilities.
It has not been a smooth road for me. The struggles along the way were my stepping stones toward my end goal to build a company for a network of entertainment professionals, without sexual harassment issues. I formed AK Entertainment on July 6 2018 to create jobs for entertainment professionals and release original, daring, and groundbreaking stories worldwide.
Before I moved to California I was homeless in Atlanta Georgia where I was housed in the Atlanta Union Mission Shelter. during this struggle, I worked at the Omni Hotel located at the CNN Center and put myself through film school at the Art Institute of Atlanta, and graduated on June 17, 2016. On June 18, 2016, I arrived in Los Angeles California on American airlines.
At the time I was living with my boyfriend and his kind family however the boyfriend was addicted to meth. I tried to stick it out with him while I worked on the Fox TV show Rosewood starring Morris Chestnut and Jania Lee Otiz. I went to the meetings and worked the steps with him but he relapsed and I removed myself from the toxic environment.
After leaving south Pasadena Non-Profit organizations helped me with housing in Los Angeles and I ended up staying in a shelter called Weingart for 3 months before I was approved and able to move into an apartment on one of the most dangerous streets in Los Angeles named San Julian St in an apartment complex names James M. Woods.
2017-2021 I lived on San Julian st in the James M. Woods Apartments where I saw lots of brutal fights, dead bodies, mental disabilities, and extreme hunger.
We’ve been impressed with AK Entertainment, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about Los Angeles is its stress-free attitude toward life, its sense of family bonding, and abundant resources for diverse demographics.
What I like least about Los Angeles is the speed of demons on the road, and the lack of communication, it seems like I am always chasing people to get the task done that I need. lastly, the attention span is limited if not talking about the latest trend. what I mean by this sometimes Los Angeles can get self-absorbed and miss opportunities for change that could make a difference in the community.
What sets me apartment from others is my passion for helping people, resourcefulness, and composed attitude towards life. Life is easy people make it hard.
