Hi Ysaura, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
From a young age, I knew I was destined for the event industry. My passion for planning and organization took root in 7th grade and stemmed throughout high school being a part of the Associated Student Body. Through these experiences, I developed invaluable skills in leadership, time management, and initiative, setting the foundation for my future career. There was a pivotal moment when an University of Nevada, Las Vegas Alumna visited my ASB class, inspiring me to set my sights on attending college there. Determined as ever, I dedicated myself to both academics and hands-on experience in the hospitality industry. After years of hard work and perseverance, I proudly graduated from UNLV in December 2021 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Hospitality Management with a concentration on Meetings & Events Management.
It was then that my path led me directly into the wedding industry, embracing the fact that I was living in the “Wedding Capital of the World.” I began working at a chapel, where I truly fell in love with the magic of weddings, immersing myself in the love stories of couples from all over the world. In late 2022, I decided to return home to Los Angeles, where I continued refining my expertise by working with multiple Southern California wedding planners and an event rental company. As my knowledge and passion for wedding coordination deepened, I felt ready to take the leap and establish my own business.
In 2023, Everlasting Grace Events & Design was born. The name is a heartfelt tribute to my beloved Abuelitha, Graciela, a woman who has faced life’s challenges with unwavering grace and love. Inspired by her resilience and kindness, I have built this company with the belief that everyone deserves a planning experience filled with patience, understanding, and, most importantly, grace.
Today, we specialize in creating unforgettable weddings and events across Southern California, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully curated to reflect the unique story of the client. With a heart full of passion and a dedication to excellence, I continue to bring dream events to life, one graceful moment at a time. Beyond weddings, Everlasting Grace Events & Design also offers balloon styling and plans all types of social events, including birthdays, baby showers, reunions, holiday parties, and more. No matter the occasion, the company is dedicated to crafting beautifully curated experiences that leave lasting memories for clients and their guests.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey to this point was not without its struggles. Balancing a demanding academic schedule while working in the hospitality industry took a toll on my mental health, forcing me on one occasion to actually leave the university. However, during this pause, I learned the importance of self-care and resilience eventually returning to graduate. Once I graduated, navigating the financial burdens of college loans presented ongoing challenges, requiring me to be resourceful and disciplined in managing expenses. Despite these obstacles, I remain steadfast in my vision of myself and my future business, using each difficulty as a stepping stone toward my goals.
Starting my own business was another challenge entirely. As an entrepreneur, I’ve had to wear multiple hats—handling everything from marketing and accounting to client management and event execution. There have been times I doubt myself, wondering if I have what it takes to make my vision a reality. But through it all, I keep pushing forward, relying on the skills I built over the years, my passion for weddings, and the belief that everyone deserves a stress-free planning experience.
With Everlasting Grace Events & Design, I’m starting to see the payoff of all those struggles. Every successful event, every happy client, and every challenge overcome has made me stronger, more adaptable, and even more in love with what I do. I welcome new struggles now because I recognize that God will see me through and it’s only part of a greater purpose. My business, my clients, and I will simply reap the benefits.
