Thirty two years have passed since third generation jeweler Vatche Klahejian opened Arka Designs, a fine-jewelry store, located in Downtown Los Angeles. Vatche migrated to Los Angeles from Beirut, Lebanon with a vision for his future. Family-owned jewelry establishment Arka Designs, offers custom designed jewelry. We specialize in engagement rings, wedding bands, earrings, bracelets and we carry a large selection of certified loose diamonds with wholesale pricing.
Arka Designs sells natural diamonds as well as lab-created. The precious gems at Arka Designs are handcrafted in Los Angeles, which means artisans, not machines, shape the pieces by hand. This is a selling point for patrons who want to buy locally and create their jewelry with unique touches and character.

Running a family-owned jewelry store in downtown Los Angeles has its challenges, including economic fluctuations and intense competition from both local and online retailers. Despite these struggles, our store’s commitment to personalized services and our great customer base helps us overcome these challenges and stand out in a competitive market.

We specialize in custom designed engagement rings, wedding bands, anniversary rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and more per our customer’s requests. Every piece of jewelry is manufactured in Los Angeles at Arka Designs studios.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is to be persistent and have passion because they are the key to success. I’ve also learned to be straightforward and maintain strong customer relationships to retain clients and generate referrals in an industry where purchases are often sentimental and high-value.
