Exploring Life & Business with Rohan Ramgarib of Trinidad and Tobago Photo Booth Compamy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rohan Ramgarib.

Hi Rohan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After leaving my 8–4 job as a Production Supervisor, and with the unwavering support of my wife and family, I took a leap and turned my photography hobby into a full-time creative career. That path led me into cinematography, where I truly found my passion, working on short films, a feature film, and even producing a series of YouTube shows.

As we grew within the wedding industry, we noticed a rising demand for photo booths. In 2019, we purchased our first booth and had it booked the very next day. The response was overwhelming, with bookings coming from both corporate and private clients. Then COVID hit, and like many others, our work came to a halt. Even so, the need for intimate, safe events remained, and our booth continued to be requested for small gatherings. That momentum sparked the official launch of the Trinidad & Tobago Photo Booth Company, which later grew into serving clients such as the Coast Guard, Customs, and other government organizations.

But COVID also brought clarity. My past experiences made financial literacy feel more important than ever, and my mindset began to shift toward growth and investment. By mid-2024, I made it a mission to teach my 10-year-old son the value of financial literacy early. That journey inspired me to write my first children’s book for ages 9–12: “The Little Acorn Investor”, the story of a young girl whose grandmother teaches her how investing can grow wealth. The book was published on Amazon in June 2025 and has received wonderful reviews. Encouraged by another author friend, I’m now expanding the series to help children of different age groups build strong financial foundations.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As for others, the struggle of a lack of finances to invest. especially after COVID. the competition started to grow quickly in the Photo Booth Business.
