Exploring Life & Business with Nada Bibi of Nada Bibi Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nada Bibi

Hi Nada, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been captivated by the art of combining elements—be it fashioning outfits, combining materials, or designing spaces. My passion for interior design started when I walked into my first design hotel and understood that you could create a vibe through space and impact people.

Pursuing this calling, I earned a Masters degree from Pratt Institute and began my career with prominent commercial firms in NYC. While the projects were engaging, the extended timelines felt misaligned with my nature. This realization led me to residential design, where I found a perfect rhythm. Creating homes for clients who often became friends fulfilled both my creative aspirations and my desire for meaningful connections. This journey eventually inspired me to establish my own firm. Furthering my capacity to problem solve on many levels and understand the people I was designing for.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth roads are rare in entrepreneurship, especially when balancing the hustle to get clients with creative endeavors. Adding two young children into the mix transformed life into a masterclass in juggling priorities. There were moments when maintaining equilibrium seemed daunting, but I was fortunate to have a strong support system to lean on.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I lead a boutique interior design firm based in Los Angeles, undertaking projects nationwide. I pride myself on delivering seamless experiences from concept to completion. My holistic approach encompasses everything from new construction to small renovations, ensuring each space I craft is thoughtful and cohesive.

As a small business entrepreneur, I’ve mastered many tasks: understanding and managing client needs, developing designs, conveying ideas through visuals, producing detailed construction drawings, overseeing construction and detailing, specifying furnishings, and managing procurement and installation. At my core, I’m a people person, always eager to guide clients through design solutions that honor both their vision and the project’s integrity. I’m proud that many clients have become lifelong friends—a testament to the collaborative and personal nature of the work.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
For me, happiness is rooted in balance—the delicate harmony in design and the equilibrium between work and life. Achieving this balance holds the key to my happy place.
