Exploring Life & Business with Lyric Everly of Everly Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lyric Everly.

Hi Lyric, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up on a small farm in Oregon and took an early interest in the arts. I started designing art for my own music projects as a teen and translated that into a business in my 20’s. I was the CEO of two creative agencies before founding my creative powerhouse, Everly Agency, in 2020. I’m also proud to be a “Big Sister of the Year” for Big Brothers Big Sisters and “Volunteer of the Year” for Youth Business Alliance.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Business and entrepreneurship are innately challenging, but I’ve learned to lean into the challenges and see them as opportunities for growth. “The obstacle is the way.” I’ve done a lot of work around overcoming limiting beliefs — it amazes me how often we advocate for our perceived limits rather than our potential. I also recall speaking to a group of entrepreneurs several years ago and asked what their biggest challenge in business was — almost unanimously, they said “people.” Your people can make or break you and your business. It can be wildly challenging to manage so many personalities and emotions both internally with your team (while keeping them motivated and doing their best work) as well as keeping clients happy and in love with what we’re co-creating together.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Everly Agency?
Everly Agency is a creative powerhouse specializing in branding, design, marketing, and messaging. Our team serves as a built-in creative team for mission-minded companies, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs in pursuit of their personal greatness.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I was “Police Cadet of the Year” in high school, and I have a “whimsical pop” album on Spotify. I’m also an aerialist and cold plunge every Sunday!
