Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorenzo Johnson

Hi Lorenzo, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey in college, bartending to support myself and developing strong people skills. My first sales role was as an Account Executive at a startup media company, where I quickly proved my abilities. This success led to an opportunity at a newly acquired company in Alabama, where I replicated our achievements and earned a promotion to Sales Manager. In this role, I led a team focused on generating new business and created a successful division for marketing and advertising targeting Higher Education Institutions.

Later, I joined Southwestern Consulting, the world’s oldest direct sales coaching company, as a Professional Sales and Executive Leadership Coach. This role allowed me to work with many talented sales professionals, leaders, and business owners. One of my most rewarding experiences was coaching Keith Kakadia, CEO of Sociallyin. Our professional relationship grew, and this opportunity deepened my expertise and expanded my network.

My work with Keith led me to Sociallyin, where I now serve as the Director of Revenue Management and Partner. This role has allowed me to combine my passion for helping others with my skills in sales and marketing. I’m particularly dedicated to supporting education and poverty alleviation through various community initiatives, as I believe in giving back and making a difference in people’s lives.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but the challenges have been crucial to my growth. Transitioning from bartending to a sales role required quick adaptation and proving my abilities. Expanding our success to a new company in Alabama involved long hours and high pressure. Leading a team and creating a Higher Education marketing division demanded perseverance and resilience.

Joining Southwestern Consulting introduced new hurdles, such as working with a diverse range of clients with unique needs. At Sociallyin, the fast-paced nature of the social media industry and staying ahead of trends present ongoing challenges. Despite these bumps, each struggle has shaped my career and contributed to my success.
