Today we’d like to introduce you to Lira Krmzyan
Hi Lira, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up, my mom was always into beauty and fashion, so it became a big part of my world too. I was the friend who was always doing everyone’s hair and makeup—it was something I genuinely loved and a way for me to connect with others.
After high school, my parents encouraged me to go to cosmetology school so that I’d have my license regardless of what service i decided to specialize in. I graduated in 2017, right when eyelash extensions were becoming popular, and I decided to invest in lash courses. Lashing was harder than I expected, I felt discouraged after doing every friend and family member I knew and taking hours for each lash set. I took a six-month break, during that time, I realized just how much I miss the art and satisfaction of designing lash sets. I realized that working directly with clients brought me so much joy, so I decided to give it another shot.
I was working full-time at a salon as a receptionist and eventually transitioned to part-time as I built my lash business. Finally, I took the leap to lash full-time. Just when I thought things were coming together, COVID hit, It felt like a huge setback. But I stayed consistent, kept working hard and didn’t give up on my goal.
Post-COVID, I found myself lashing full-time at a salon in West Hollywood. It gave me great exposure, but I quickly realized that it wasn’t the kind of environment where I could grow. That experience pushed me to make a choice I’d always dreamed of—opening my own studio and becoming my own boss. I moved to Salon Republic, which became my lash studio for the next two years. It was a great location and served its purpose, but after a while, I felt ready to take things to the next level.
Today, I’m so excited to announce my new Salon location on Beverly Blvd. It’s a space that truly reflects my vision, and I can’t wait to share all the new things I have planned for my clients. It’s been a journey, full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Each step has brought me closer to where I am today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road! Like most journeys worth pursuing, mine has been full of ups and downs. One of the biggest learning curves I faced was when I decided to find a new location. I thought it would just be a matter of finding a place I liked, but I quickly learned that it’s a lot more complicated than that.
I had to educate myself on commercial leases, which was a whole new world for me. I spent hours understanding what was and wasn’t included in different lease agreements. There were so many details I hadn’t even thought of before. I also had to find a location that matched my vision and met my clients needs. It was overwhelming at times, but I knew that getting it right was essential for building the kind of space I wanted for my clients.
The process was definitely challenging, but I’m grateful for it now because i learned so much about the business side of running a salon. It’s one thing to provide great services, but managing a business and securing the right location added a whole new layer of responsibility and growth.

To enhance your experience, we offer complimentary beverages like water, tea, and coffee, allowing you to relax and indulge while you take time for self-care. We’re excited to announce that we will soon be adding hand massages and eye masks to our lash lift and brow services, elevating your experience even further. Additionally, we’re expanding our menu to include new services designed to cater to your beauty needs.
I’m incredibly proud to provide work that enhances my clients’ natural beauty rather than overwhelming it. My approach has always been about bringing out each client’s unique features in a way that feels authentic to them. I believe beauty should feel like an extension of who you are, not something that masks it.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’ve been incredibly lucky to have so many amazing people supporting me along the way. My mom has been my biggest cheerleader from the start. She’s been there every step of the journey, guiding me through the ups and downs, and encouraging me to keep pushing forward. Without her support and optimism, I honestly don’t know where I’d be.
My big brother and stepdad have also played huge roles in my success. They’ve been the ones I’ve turned to for advice on the numbers and business side of things, which isn’t always my strong suit. They’ve helped me stay grounded, make smart decisions, and build a stable foundation for my business.
I’m also beyond grateful for my close friends and family. They’ve shown up for me in countless ways, from spreading the word about my business to just being there to support me through the challenges. Their encouragement and belief in me has made all the difference.
And, of course, I couldn’t do any of this without my loyal clients. They’ve been with me through every stage of growth, and their trust and support inspire me to keep improving. Seeing them happy and confident is the most rewarding part of my work. Each of them has been a vital part of my journey, and I’m incredibly thankful for the role they’ve played in my success.
