Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Moscinski.
Hi Kelly, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
First of all, thanks for having me back to share more of my story. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved stories – telling stories, listening to stories, watching stories, making them up, reading them. Other worlds fascinated me and I always dreamt of a way to be a part of another world. When I was in high school, I got involved with drama clubs. I did a little acting but was mostly interested in everything that happened behind the scenes. When I went to college, I was majoring in Pre-Med in hopes to one day go to med school and be a Psychiatrist. My very first semester I got involved with the university theatre department and by my second year, I was so involved in theatre, that I decided to switch my major to Education. Only 1 step away from my degree in teaching and I decided to truly follow my dream. I got my degree in Theatre and went on to get my masters in English with a focus on writing. Once I moved to Los Angeles, I fell into the world of voiceover casting. After a few years, I took over The Voicecaster, as its 3rd owner. I’ve owned the company for almost 10 years and wear the hats of business owner, head of casting, audio engineer, demo producer, voiceover instructor, coach, and confidant.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Is it ever a smooth road?! (Laugh) My belief is that if it was, you may have missed the most important part – the journey. Struggles are a part of life and I think those are the things that really shape us as individuals as well as shape our art and our business. Every day I get to work on something new and new means there may also be new challenges or obstacles to overcome. Not only do I own and operate a busy company, I’m also a mom of two (5 year old and 2 year old) so that has its own challenges in the so-called work/life balance. But I try to take every day as it is – a small piece of the journey – and some days will be easier than others.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

In other exciting news – our NEW podcast will be released soon – so keep an ear out for that!!!
How do you think about happiness?
Sleep! (Laughs) More sleep could make me a little happier.
But, in all seriousness, “happy” to me is sitting under a blanket by the window on a rainy day reading a book. It’s also playing in the park with my kids. And an exciting new project that I get to work on. I try to find happiness both in the calm and in the chaos of my life. Those tiny moments of joy are what I look for in every situation.
