Exploring Life & Business with Kathryn Tate of Kathryn Tate CHT

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathryn Tate.

Hi Kathryn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I moved out to California after getting sober in 2009. I was 20 years old and recovering from an 8 year addiction. I began working at a treatment center as a residential tech and quickly moved my way up into case management, then admissions. Hypnotherapy was a powerful tool that helped me through my own journey. I completed my CADC, then completed my hypnotherapy certification and started my private practice where I heal others.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been entirely smooth. I have had to deal with my own SEO and google analytics. I built my own site despite not having any technical background. It took time to network and build a client base..

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I run a small private practice where I do hypnotherapy. I specialize in helping adults heal from anxiety, addiction, and self-limiting beliefs through compassionate, client centered hypnotherapy and spiritual counseling. I developed Subconscious Symbol Dialouge (SSD) which involves using dream symbolism to imprint positive change on the subconscious mind. Using symbolic mapping and vocabulary to bring about positive change. My areas of expertise include empowerment after narcissistic abuse, anxiety, phobias, fears, weight loss hypnosis, chemical dependency, alcohol dependency, stress management, work burnout, smoking cessation, self-esteem, addiction, and confidence building.

What matters most to you? Why?
Being able to help other people and show unconditional support. Throughout my life, I did not have support and I was given an opportunity to turn my life around. I grew up in poverty with dysfunctional family dynamics, and addiction running rampant in my family. I was shown another way. I’ve given my life to helping others find their way.
