Today we’d like to introduce you to Karla Contreras-Carpio.
Hi Karla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started in 2006. I was in college and working for a commercial cleaning company as an office assistant. I learned from answering phones to cleaning to stripping and waxing floors to even carpet cleaning. From an office assistant my former boss promoted me to Office Manager and polished me so well in the industry that later in the years I was able to go on my own.
My mother at that time was working as a housekeeper and would get home so late from cleaning; exhausted and at times not even paid for her work or underpaid. I was upset hearing about her days at work and saw this as an opportunity to make a change in our cleaning industry and provide job opportunities to individuals with our same core values and with a great pay.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been easy at all. When I started, I was single and had so much time that I was a workaholic. Now, as a mother of three amazing boys things have changed, they are my #1 priority but I need to divide my time for my boys and my business.
COVID came and we lost 90% of our income since at that time we were mainly servicing only residential. We got hurt very bad and very little help. But God is always good and faithful!
I used that experience and knowledge to evaluate and give a kick to the business and grow even more than how it originally was. We now not only provide residential cleaning but we are back doing Commercial cleaning and have expanded from Los Angeles to now serving the West side and SouthBay area, with goals of within a few years open a service area in Sacramento and Orange County.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
We see Quality employing constantly, training our staff to grow with our company for management positions, and encouraging continued education and possibly Franchising within the next few years.
We see servicing two different big cities latest by next summer.
