My name is Joeziel Vazquez. I started my journey in credit repair back in 2008 when I hired Lexington Law to fix my credit. I was with them for a couple of months when I realized they were not fixing my credit, nothing was changing. I was being charged an exorbitant fee and not seeing any results. I started doing research and learning what my consumer rights were and started testing the waters once I saw I was able to fix my own credit, I started helping friends and family and the rumors of how I can fix credit spread like wildfire.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I feel as though it’s been a roller coaster some weeks smooth others very challenging. As a small business owner who is Latino and gay, I have faced discrimination left and right and people and companies refusing to work with me or honor contracts. But I stood steadfast in my belief that I can help people like me and continued head-on.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I feel that covid has taught me that I need to be better prepared for the unexpected. You would think that covid would have caused more people to set out and look for help with their credit but it instead actually decreased business and because of that we were unprepared to not get a steady stream of income.
