Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been fascinated by how things work — especially the human body — so going into science felt natural for me. I graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Biology, and that experience really laid the foundation for everything that came next. It gave me a deeper appreciation for detail, structure, and the idea that even small things can make a big impact.
After UCLA, I decided to pursue dentistry and attended the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC for my D.D.S. degree. Those years were some of the most formative of my life — not just academically, but personally. I learned the technical side of dentistry, of course, but what really stuck with me was how much this field revolves around people. Every patient has their own story, fears, and goals, and learning to communicate and connect with them made me realize that dentistry is just as much about trust as it is about teeth.
During my time at USC, I had the opportunity to serve as Co-Director for the USC Mobile Dental Clinic. That experience was eye-opening — we traveled to underserved communities and provided free dental care to people who often didn’t have access to it. It reminded me why I wanted to become a dentist in the first place: to help people in a way that’s hands-on and personal. It also taught me how powerful compassion and communication are in healthcare.
After graduating, I worked in a variety of dental settings, which gave me a front-row seat to the realities of modern dentistry — the good and the not-so-good. On one hand, we have incredible technology and materials that make dentistry more precise than ever. But on the other, I started noticing how the industry sometimes loses touch with the human side — the trust, the comfort, the genuine connection between dentist and patient.
That’s really what pushed me to open my own practice. I wanted to build an environment where patients actually feel cared for — where they’re listened to, not rushed, and where trust is at the center of every interaction. Dentistry has come a long way technically, but I think it’s time we bring back that personal, genuine side that people can believe in. My goal is for every patient to walk in feeling comfortable and leave not just with a healthy smile, but with real confidence and trust in the care they receive.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, life has never been a smooth road, and I don’t think it’s supposed to be. I came from humble beginnings and had to work my way up, step by step, to get to where I am today. There were long hours and moments of self-doubt — all the things that test your perseverance.
Building my own dental office from the ground up was one of the biggest challenges. It wasn’t just about mastering dentistry; it was about learning business, management, and how to create an environment where people actually feel welcomed and cared for. There were setbacks, unexpected obstacles, and plenty of times I had to remind myself why I started in the first place.
But those struggles are what made the journey meaningful. Each challenge taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of staying true to my vision. Today, seeing the office thrive and knowing I’ve created a space built on trust, care, and connection makes all the hurdles worthwhile. The road may have been bumpy, but every twist and turn shaped me into the dentist — and the person — I am today.

As the owner of The Curve Dentistry, my mission has always been simple: to bring trust and genuine care back to dentistry. I noticed that while dental technology has advanced tremendously, the personal connection between dentist and patient sometimes gets lost. At The Curve, we’ve built a practice where patients feel heard, understood, and comfortable every step of the way.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is discovering new places — especially food spots. I love trying restaurants I’ve never been to, finding those hidden gems, and sharing that experience with good people. I think it’s the mix of curiosity and connection that does it for me. As a dentist, I get to meet people from all different walks of life, and everyone has a story. Hearing those stories, learning about their backgrounds, their journeys — it keeps me grounded and reminds me how diverse and interesting people really are. Whether it’s through food or conversation, I’m happiest when I’m connecting, exploring, and learning something new.
