Exploring Life & Business with Hargopal Khalsa of Sat Nam Rasayan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hargopal Khalsa.

Hi Hargopal, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Having a background in Physics, I have always been drawn to the beauty of mathematics and the mysteries of the universe. Upon relocating to Los Angeles, I discovered a yogic holistic approach to life. It made it possible to experience a variety of states of consciousness and directly relate to the universe. In Quantum Mechanics the wave function extends to infinity which indicates the connectedness of all that is. And from  a holistic perspective, it is interconnectedness that is the foundation. Both approaches recognize that our consciousness has a fundamental role in the workings of our universe.
While in Los Angeles, I had the privilege of meeting an incredible healer who asked me to study with him. Despite my initial doubts about what a Physicist could possibly know about healing, I was mesmerized by his teachings, by the opportunity to help people heal, and soon found myself studying under his guidance. My doubts disappeared when a friend of mine had a severe headache. I applied the healing method I had learned, and to my surprise, his headache vanished almost instantly. This experience sparked my deep enduring interest in Sat Nam Rasayan, an ancient healing modality that I have been passionate about for over 35 years.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In my career as a Physicist, thinking clearly and deeply were highly valued, whereas on the path of the healer, inner silence and intuition are of utmost importance. Meditation and yoga were crucial to making that difficult transition. It was not easy to sit, be with myself and stay focused on a mantra or meditative posture during week-long meditation courses, often held in India where my stomach was sometimes in upheaval while my mind was letting go of the inner turmoil.

Working full time can make it challenging to find time and energy to travel and take courses, which are often held in distant locations. This meant having to take time off without pay while paying for travel and courses, which can be a financial burden. Though incredibly worth it for me.

Another challenge was facing myself, looking deeply into who I am, where I am, and decisions I’ve made in my life. We all carry patterns from our ancestors, some of which can be very challenging. Those patterns may include unresolved trauma, hidden dynamics, self concept and awareness issues. The less baggage I carry, the more I can be available to serve others.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My healing practice centers around Sat Nam Rasayan, an ancient yogic approach that focuses on healing through consciousness. I learned this method from Guru Dev Singh, an amazing healer, yogi, spiritual being. In my workshops, with my background of analytical thinking and meditative consciousness, I have been able to explain this esoteric healing art. And within a session, specifically identifying what is going on, even when the individual themselves is not conscious of it, serves to help them heal and grow on many levels.
While this practice is not medical, it is effective in addressing mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual imbalances. People seek my services for a variety of reasons, and my clients consistently report how much they have benefited. Sat Nam Rasayan can often identify the root cause of a person’s challenges and work towards resolving them. Whether in-person or remotely, the sessions are accessible, regardless of location.
Sat Nam Rasayan has been effective in addressing a range of issues, from healing relationships to releasing inner conflicts, fears and reducing pain. My approach often addresses limiting beliefs that underly issues of self-esteem, success, and relating to people and challenges in a person’s life. Overall, this unique approach to healing has helped many individuals achieve profound transformations in their lives.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Practicing Kundalini yoga and meditation, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, brought a major transformation in who I am – in being more of who I am. Studying Sat Nam Rasayan with Guru Dev Singh taught me this approach and improved my life more than I had any idea it was possible. The compassion, wisdom, and elevated consciousness of Guru Dev have been a role model, a beacon of light to follow. Another approach to healing that I have studied is called family constellations, a systemic approach to healing that can resolve intergenerational issues. This was taught by Bert Hellinger, a brilliant psychotherapist and philospher who developed this modality of healing.
