Today we’d like to introduce you to Gohar Asatryan.
Hi Gohar, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Seven years ago, I took my first photo—not knowing it would change everything. I didn’t have a plan, just a feeling. Since then, photography has become part of who I am. It’s how I see, how I feel, how I speak when words don’t work.
Seven years in, and I’m still chasing light, still finding meaning in moments, still growing.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road wasn’t smooth. There were times I doubted my eye, my style, and even my purpose. I faced creative blocks and moments where quitting felt easier. But every setback taught me something. I learned to push through the noise, trust my vision, and keep showing up—even when no one was watching. I shot in the rain, in bad light, with broken gear and a full heart.
What kept me going? The love for storytelling. The quiet power of capturing something real.
Seven years in, and the hustle hasn’t stopped—but neither has the passion. And that makes every struggle worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Gogaphoto?
I don’t just take photos—I feel them. I’m not chasing perfection; I’m chasing honesty. The raw, unscripted, in-between moments that most people miss—that’s where I live. My strongest side? Connection. Whether it’s with a person, a place, or a fleeting light, I know how to make people feel seen. I don’t force moments—I let them breathe, unfold naturally, and then I capture the truth in them.
What I do best is create space. Space for emotion. For quiet. For chaos. For depth. I don’t just give you an image—I give you a memory, a feeling, a story that lingers.
That’s what makes me different. I see with more than just my eyes.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy isn’t just taking the photo—it’s being there for it. It’s watching something real unfold and knowing I caught it forever. It’s seeing someone light up when they see themselves—really see themselves—in my work. Photography makes me feel connected. Present. Alive. And if even one image makes someone feel something, then that’s everything.
