Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabby Silvi
Hi Gabby, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have been in the fitness industry for over 20 years, I regionally manage Anytime Fitness Pasadena for my partner Austin Wright and when the opportunity presented itself to open Renew Performance Center right next door to our gym we jumped on it! We took over the space in December of last year, and Rebranded, upgraded and opened up. Between the two of us we have extensive backgrounds in Health & Fitness. We are excited to have this one stop shop in Pasadena for Fitness, Recovery and a Healthy Cafe!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In regards to the journey: When we bought this place we knew that it would take a lot of work and even though it was already existing we had no idea that every piece of equipment would eventually fail in the first month of our ownership! So we upgraded and replaced almost everything. It’s funny when you know in your heart that something will be great, the long 12 hour days seem very worth it! I’m often asked if I ever go home, Thankfully I have a great partner and a wonderful husband who is also a business owner and understands what it takes to make a business successful! Most people who walk past our café, think it’s only a café, until they come in and we walk them through the back where all the wellness services are and we always hear them say “Wow this is amazing, like a little oasis”
We’ve been impressed with Renew Performance Center, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Renew Performance Center distinguishes itself by integrating advanced recovery technologies and service, offering an array of treatments such as Cold Plunge, Infrared saunas, JOOV Red Light Therapy, Normatec Compression, and Hyper Volt therapy, Float tank, Stretch and Massage services, and Flowpresso Lymphatic Drainage. Soon we will be offering Private Pilates classes and OPUS Vibra Acoustical Sound Therapy. We are located right next to Anytime Fitness Pasadena and offer a dual membership for both Fitness and Recovery.
We aim to serve not just athletes, fitness enthusiasts, but all individuals seeking holistic wellness.
We also offer a full Superfoods Cafe, providing protein shakes, smoothies, organic juices, specialty coffee, kava and kombucha drinks, and healthy meal preparations from EatNakedLA.
We hold a Kava Social night every Saturday night inviting guests to come in try our services and connect and make new friends.
Often, we hold special events like Health & Wellness Fairs, and we are available to host private wellness events as well.
I am most proud of my staff and the inviting space that we have created in both the cafe and the wellness services area, allowing our guests to come in and relax, as well as care for themselves.

Helping people makes me happy because it allows me to create a meaningful connection and a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose.
