Exploring Life & Business with Erin Wallace of Modern Mystery School

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Erin Wallace.

Erin Wallace

Hi Erin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always been one who fights for what I believe would make the world better. I was an activist at a young age and even ended up on a magazine cover at 16 for my activism work. However, life started spiraling downward in college after I experienced a sexual assault. I lost the innocence of my idealism and trust in life; I became depressed, and I could not snap out of it.

One Christmas, I went to my mom’s house and found a book in her cabinet called “Life is a Spiritual Experience, Metaphysics Made Practical” by Paul. It was a short and concise book that forever changed my life. It taught me how my thoughts actually created my reality and some other laws of the universe. As I started applying the principles I learned from the book, I saw my whole life shift in front of me, and I made a decision to explore my spiritual path. I spent years trying anything I came across – many different possibilities – until one day, I found the tools from the Modern Mystery School, which opened up a whole new level of adventure. It’s been 17 years, and I have yet to hit a ceiling of personal growth and success, which has happened in the past.

I’ve worked as an energy healer and Spiritual Guide, sharing these tools for 16 years, and have had the pleasure of helping thousands of individuals transform their lives for good. And ever since the day my life was changed by that short book by Paul, I’ve known that I wanted to create a book that is also short and powerful – one that can help readers change their lives forever. That’s the reason why, two years ago, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and started writing my first book called Spiritual Shortcuts.

I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew that I’d gained wisdom and finally had enough to share to help others this way. To my surprise, it hit Best Seller on Amazon and Barnes & Noble Online within a few hours of release and was even sold out on Amazon at some point. My journey as an author has just started, and I hope my book and message can help more people get out of stuckness and achieve their highest potential!

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It does feel like my road to publishing my first book has been 17 years in the making, but I started actively working on it in 2021. Truthfully, I procrastinated A LOT on writing the book. It was unusual for me as I am very good at taking action and dealing with challenges head-on, as I usually tell my students that it is good to “rip off the bandages.” I felt bad about myself for procrastinating, especially since my editor was waiting for me.

However, the procrastination taught me more about divine timing than I expected! It felt like I spent most of the time actively “avoiding” writing it, and then I got most of the book done in 3 days when I rented out a cabin in the woods staying in an A-frame building that looked like a pyramid, which is associated with Spirit and creative energy. I was so impressed that I was able to write most of it quickly after not making much progress.

That “procrastination” led to a new publishing date that turned out to be the only period in years that I finally had some “downtime,” some space in between serving clients and my own life. That enabled me to be able to invest in a new website, new social media marketing, making time for going on podcasts and promoting my book, etc. If I had stuck with the initial timeline and finished my book within a year (instead of 2 years), I am not sure if I would have been able to promote the book the way I did. I’m also not sure if I would have been energetically ready to show up more online to share my messages as I am today, and certainly not sure whether the book would have had the success it did.

So, in a way, my procrastination wasn’t really procrastination – it was a realignment with divine timing, which I was unaware of at the time but was able to appreciate after some reflection. It was also a lesson that I share with others to not necessarily beat ourselves up when we fall behind in plans. Yes, we need to be disciplined and get things done, but there is such a thing as the right time, and there is a rhythm in which we can work with Spirit to maintain and maximize our creative flow.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a Spiritual Guide, Universal Hermetic Ray Kabbalah Teacher, and a bestselling author. I hand down lineage tools to help people remember who they are. I just became an author last year (2023), and my book sold out within a few hours of being released.

This book is to help those who have asked for it to learn tips to quicken their path. The book is called Spiritual Shortcuts, and the first thing I mention is that there are no shortcuts. The way directly up the mountain is usually more hardcore than taking switchbacks. I thought some people might want to know these tips!

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I have learned on my journey is that every challenge is there to make me stronger, which places me on a higher platform to leap to the next bigger challenge.

It is okay to make mistakes because it shows me that I am trying something new and out of my comfort zone, and each mistake is a stepping stone to the next big accomplishment and goal!
