Today we’d like to introduce you to Elen Eduardi.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born in Armenia, and ever since I was a child, I knew I wanted to be a doctor or a surgeon. I’ve always felt a deep calling to help people, to heal, and to make a difference in their lives. That passion eventually led me to dentistry—specifically, to helping people feel confident in their smiles.
When I moved to the United States, I had a clear dream: to continue my education and build a career in healthcare. But I had to start from the bottom and rebuild everything from zero. It was far from easy. I went through so many obstacles—emotionally, financially, and personally. I lost both of my parents while I was here, and I was far from family and support. Everything that could go wrong, at some point, did—but I never gave up. I knew that education was my key to a better future. I worked full-time and studied full-time just to keep moving forward and pay off my student loans.
Something I truly believe is this: it’s never too late to change your profession. If you feel that you’re meant to do something different—or better—go study, go try. That belief gave me the strength to keep going when things got hard.
Along the way, I was lucky to meet amazing mentors—doctors who guided and supported me—and I’m so grateful for them. The good and the bad experiences both shaped me into the person and professional I am today.
Now, I focus on cosmetic dentistry and restoring smiles. When I see my patients happy and confident, it fills me with purpose. That’s when I know—I was meant to do this.
People often ask me what motivates me, and I tell them—I don’t even know if I’d call it motivation anymore. It’s just a state of mind that I wake up with and go to bed with: I have a lot more to accomplish before I check out… so get to it.
If I could go back, I would give myself the same advice I’d give anyone starting their career: Create a vision for your life and follow it—every day. The harder you work, the more you’ll enjoy life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest obstacles I faced was losing both of my parents while I was here, in the middle of pursuing my education. Being far from family and going through that kind of grief alone made it incredibly hard to stay focused. There were days when the emotional weight made it difficult to even open a book—but I knew I had to keep going. I had to put my pain aside and study, because I had a bigger purpose. That experience made me stronger, more resilient, and more connected to the patients I care for—because I truly understand what it means to push through hard times.”
After my dad passed away, I made the decision to change my last name to Eduardi. His name was Edward, and in my culture, adding ‘i’ means ‘you belong to’—so Eduardi means ‘belonging to Edward.’ I wanted to carry his name with me forever, especially as I pursued my dream of becoming a business owner here in America. It reminds me every day who I am, where I come from, and why I keep going.”
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I’m currently a small startup , building the practice with the support of my friend and colleague, Dr. Julius. As an internationally trained dentist and licensed dental practitioner, I’m able to perform a full range of dental procedures under the supervision of a licensed U.S. dentist. I currently practice in her office, where we collaborate closely and often see patients together. It’s a unique and supportive partnership that allows me to deliver high-quality care while continuing to grow my brand and pursue my long-term vision.”
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can come in for a professional teeth whitening session that takes less than two hours, and they’ll leave with a noticeably brighter, more radiant smile. Whether they’re looking to remove stains or just want a fresh boost to their smile’s appearance, I make sure each patient leaves feeling energized and confident. I never let anyone leave their treatment room without being truly happy and confident in their smile. Giving that boost of confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. When patients walk out with a great smile and a positive energy, it’s a reminder of why I love what I do.
