Today we’d like to introduce you to Claire Bahn.

Hi Claire, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my career in marketing and PR at Fortune 500 companies. A couple of years in, I decided I wanted to act. I had zero acting experience, but I did know how to build a brand. So I used marketing to position myself, made sure casting directors knew exactly who I was and what roles I was right for, and landed jobs because of that clarity. That turned into helping other actors build their brands.

Eventually, I co-founded a business where we built personal brands for online daters. That unexpectedly led us to meet an angel investor who became our first client in executive personal branding.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing about my journey has been perfectly smooth, and honestly, I wouldn’t want it to be. Every setback and challenge has helped shape the way I work today. They forced me to refine my approach, get clear on my strengths, and understand what truly creates results. I’m genuinely grateful for every struggle because each one ultimately pushed me forward. Without those moments of friction, I wouldn’t be where I am now.

How do you think about happiness?
I love moments of quiet productivity, whether I am in the garden creating succulent arrangements or immersed in a hands-on project. A few years ago, I needed a better podcast backdrop, so I designed and built a custom bookcase myself, sanding, priming, painting, and styling it until it reflected the vision I had in mind.

I am happiest when I am learning and growing. If I am reading, it is most likely to sharpen a skill or develop a new one. Whether it is gardening, building something tangible, or building a brand strategy, I find joy in creating, refining, and pushing myself.
