Exploring Life & Business with Chelsea Markham of Flurrie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Markham.

Chelsea, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into health and wellness was anything but conventional. I spent nearly a decade in the fast food industry, working my way up to General Manager at one of the busiest locations in the country. I was fully committed, thinking I’d eventually own a franchise. But when that door unexpectedly shut on me, I was forced to reevaluate what truly lit me up.
During that time, I was constantly running on espresso and fast food, feeling exhausted and struggling with gut and skin issues. In 2020, I took a step back and started prioritizing my health. I went on to become a Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, a Nutritional Therapist, and a Gut Health Practitioner. That passion led me to create Flurrie, a hydration and energy supplement made with clean ingredients—something I wish I had when I was working crazy hours.
Flurrie was built from my own struggles and the realization that so many people—especially busy professionals and moms—need a natural boost without sugar, artificial junk, or crashes. I launched the brand just two weeks after giving birth to my son, and it’s been a whirlwind ever since! Now, I’m focused on growing Flurrie into a full supplement line with the goal of getting into retail stores.
It’s been a journey of persistence, passion, and trusting the process, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road—entrepreneurship never is! One of the biggest challenges was shifting careers after spending almost a decade in the fast food industry. When I didn’t get the opportunity I had worked so hard for, it was a tough pill to swallow. But looking back, that rejection was a redirection. It forced me to figure out what truly fueled me, which turned out to be health and wellness.
Starting Flurrie came with its own set of struggles. We bootstrapped everything, which meant wearing every hat—formulating the product, handling manufacturing, marketing, sales, and everything in between. Finding the right manufacturer took months of trial and error, and sourcing clean ingredients that aligned with my values wasn’t easy.
Then, launching Flurrie just two weeks after giving birth was another challenge. Balancing new motherhood with building a startup was overwhelming at times, but it also gave me an even stronger purpose. I wanted to create a business that supported not just my family but also other busy people who needed clean, effective energy without compromise.
Despite the struggles, I’ve learned to embrace the ups and downs, stay persistent, and trust the process. Every challenge has pushed me to grow in ways I never expected.

We’ve been impressed with Flurrie, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder of Flurrie, a clean hydration and energy supplement for people who juggle a lot—careers, workouts, parenting, and everything in between—and want to show up feeling their best. We combine electrolytes, clean caffeine, B vitamins, L-theanine, and Lion’s Mane into one formula to help you stay hydrated, focused, energized, and mentally clear throughout your day. Think of it like a lightbulb turning on in your brain—but without the jitters or sugar crash.

What sets Flurrie apart is how intentional every ingredient is. This isn’t just another hydration or energy powder—we’re giving you both, plus added brain support, in one clean, refreshing product. And because of my background in nutrition, I formulated it to be something I’d personally take daily and recommend to clients. There are no shortcuts or fillers—just real ingredients that work.

But what also sets me apart is the career I had before this. I spent years working in the fast food industry, managing high-volume restaurants and leading teams under pressure. That experience taught me resilience, leadership, and how to execute at a high level—skills I now bring into every part of building and running this brand.

I also teach Lagree, which keeps me closely connected to the health and wellness space. It helps me understand what people are craving in their routines—energy, focus, performance, and support. Flurrie was designed with all of that in mind.

I’m most proud of how quickly people are falling in love with the product. Our customers tell us they feel the difference after their first drink—and that’s the best reward. This is just the beginning.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Resilience and fierce focus. You have to believe in yourself so deeply that even on the hard days, you keep going. I’ve learned that if you start comparing your progress or your brand to others, you’ll spiral fast. I’ve had to stay incredibly focused on my own path—on why I started and where I’m going.
People ask me all the time, “How did you start?” or “How did you actually do it?” And honestly, the answer is pretty simple: you just have to take the risk. You take one step, and then another. You keep showing up, even when it’s messy or uncomfortable, and you trust that it will work out—even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.
There have been plenty of setbacks, but I always come back to this: no one’s going to believe in your vision more than you do. You have to stay locked in on your goals, trust the process, and show up even when it’s hard or slow. That belief—and the refusal to give up—has carried me through everything.
