Today we’d like to introduce you to Chad Lewin
Hi Chad, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a retired professional motorcycle racer and received my Real Estate Salesperson License in 2007 when I had some major injuries preventing me from racing for a few years. Over time between racing professionally and building my real estate career around my well-known race following, I became a team lead of Team Lewin Estates in 2016. in 2017 we were top 1% and one of Keller Williams offices #1 team.
After a few bad experiences with the large brokerages, I decided to form my own brokerage and opened an Independent Escrow Company as well (The HomeProz and CA EscrowProz). Fast forward and we are coming up on 5 years in business and continuing to grow rapidly…looking to expand the escrow company into San Diego County over the next 6 months.
I am still very involved with racing and my personal sales are mainly to motorcycle enthusiasts I help with coaching and learning motorcycle safety on the racetrack that riders can apply to the street. I also am a partner in a hedgefund where I manage home renovations for profit (flipping), hard money investments, assignments, capital funds…I have been fortunate to have my hands in all things real estate throughout my career.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Success never comes without some speed bumps in the road. When I started my companies I had a good friend who I made a partner handing over ownership of both companies at no cost to him. Unfortunately after a few years in business it was time to cut ties due to issues arising and the gentlemen and his wife caused a scene forcing me to call the police. This did not go over well with employees and agents as well as my ex partner spreading false rumors. Typically partner splits go unnoticed as everyone is professional, unfortunately that was not the case with this now ex partner.
I will admit The HomeProz has been hit the hardest with this partner split due to false rumors, but my main concern is the escrow company and that company is thriving in the industry and continuing to grow rapidly (smartest thing I ever did was starting my escrow company).

I formed CA EscrowProz from having my own personal struggles as a Realtor with multiple escrow companies. Escrow is a very important and tedious task of the escrow process. One thing escrow companies can lack on is end of business day tasks. Often times escrows are very time sensitive and for example your loan documents are signed towards the end of escrow and are often time sensitive. We are one of the only companies that will generate loan documents to be signed if received as late as 5pm…most escrows will not do this until the following business day causing MAJOR delays and money lost.
We offer exceptional escrow service and even provide an app based experience for live updates, live chatting, generate your own Settlement Statements and the safest way to upload sensitive documents needed to close your escrow. We realize that not only the homeowner is our client, but the Realtor/Broker as well and our sole goal is to make the Agents look like rockstars to their clients so they receive raving reviews, praise and most importantly…REFERRALS! I am extremely proud of a near 100% customer return rate and growing to multiple office locations in the near future.
I also have my personal flips with the hedgfund we could speak about if that would be a better story (always flipping drama haha) or lean on my HomeProz and the struggles of owning a brokerage…waste of time IMO haha
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me, success isn’t all about money. Making a positive impact on peoples lives is the goal and the success. When i have clients crying out of happiness, thanking me repeatedly…THAT is the success…money will always follow if you put people first.
To be a good Realtor, you have to first be a good person.
