Exploring Life & Business with Ariel Pasion of APasionLifestyle, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariel Pasion

Hi Ariel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into health and wellness started when I was young, growing up in a household where I was fortunate enough to try out various sports and activities. My mom encouraged me to explore everything, and while I had options, I naturally gravitated toward swimming, water polo, and other aquatic activities. These sports became a huge part of my identity, and I felt the most like myself when I was in the water. My coaches were also an incredible influence— they built up my confidence, and I knew that one day, I wanted to impact others in the same way, especially children, women, and those who doubted themselves.

However, despite feeling strong in my athletic pursuits, I still battled with self-consciousness, feeling like two different people-confident in sports but unsure of myself in everyday life. When I entered college to study Kinesiology, I was determined to stay connected to the world of exercise science because I had seen firsthand what sports did for my self-confidence growing up.

Around this time, l also experienced my first heartbreak, which led me to start documenting my journey on social media. I used it as an outlet to show how I was rebuilding myself, and it didn’t take long for people to resonate with my posts. I began to hear people say that my slogan was “Keep on smilin’, Keep on Slayin'” which motivated me to keep pushing forward. I also stepped out of my comfort zone, joined internships, and started building a version of myself that I loved.

During my internships, leaned into my aquatics background and eventually started my own CPR business, certifying others through the programs I was involved in. It was in this process of self-discovery that I realized I didn’t want to be a physical therapist-| envisioned creating something bigger: a health and wellness business. But the road to building that dream was anything but smooth.

In 2017, while working with a massage therapist, I was sexually assaulted. It was a traumatic experience, but I reported it to the police, and something inside me shifted. I knew that my purpose was bigger than myself, and I committed to turning my CPR business into a full-fledged health and wellness venture. I told myself, “You just need to GO FOR IT,” and I did.

But life wasn’t done testing me. In 2018, during a photoshoot for my website, I was raped by the photographer. The incident wasn’t forceful, but it was manipulative, and I felt deeply violated. I blamed myself for not stopping it and wrestled with guilt. Yet, I reported it to the police and continued therapy. Even while juggling the trauma of the assault and my 23-unit course load, I told myself, “I’m not going to let anyone determine my happiness and success.” | was determined to keep going.

Shortly after the rape, I discovered I had an ovarian cyst the size of a grapefruit. Despite everything, I kept living. I finished my classes with A’s and B’s, went to Disneyland, threw a surprise party for my boyfriend, and attended his graduation in a wheelchair, fresh out of surgery. I graduated on time, but my battle wasn’t over.

Post-surgery, I was put on birth control, which wreaked havoc on my hormones. I experienced massive pain, gained over 60 pounds, and when I sought help from my gynecologist, I was dismissed with,
“Welcome to womanhood.” I knew something had to change-I couldn’t accept that being a woman meant living in constant stress and discomfort.

My healing journey truly began when I dove deeper into therapy, journaling, and learning more about my body.

Later, I found a community at Stark, West Hollywood. The people there helped me rebuild my confidence, and I felt supported as I worked through my physical and emotional healing.

Through this process, I lost over 50 pounds and regained control over my health. I started to focus on hormone balance, understanding nutrition, and reprogramming my mindset to break tree from the all-or-nothing approach that had kept me stuck for so long.

Once I shifted my mindset and committed to consistent efforts, I felt like myself again. I was no longer in that traumatic space, and I knew I had the power to change my outcomes.

Now, I’m fully dedicated to helping others do the same. I created APasionLifestyle LLC, with the Intentional Movement Method —a program designed to help women achieve fat loss, gain muscle, and most importantly, build confidence through a healthy mindset. This isn’t just about losing weight or getting fit; it’s about reclaiming your power, your health, and your self-worth.

Through the course of consistent effort, mindset shifts, and the support of amazing people, l’ve become clear on my mission to empower my online community to become their best selves. I’m now a full-time business owner with self-confidence stronger than ever, and I’m excited to help others transform into the highest versions of themselves.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been far from smooth. As i mentioned – I’ve dealt with some serious personal challenges. On top of that, I struggled with the enormous self-doubt, which caused me to constantly yo-yo with my health habits and dreams of pursuing my business. There were moments where I felt stuck, frustrated, and defeated.

But each of these obstacles pushed me to grow stronger, mentally and physically, and helped me develop a deeper understanding of how to approach wellness in a way that’s sustainable, empowering, and compassionate.

What matters most to me is empowering people to live with intention, confidence, and more importantly, helping them turn their breakdowns into breakthroughs. I’ve had to overcome my own struggles, from battling self-doubt and unhealthy habits to navigating difficult life experiences. It wasn’t until I started focusing within, making intentional choices, and pushing through my limiting beliefs that I began to see real change.

I know how painful it can feel to be stuck in a cycle of setbacks, but I also know how powerful it is to rise from those moments stronger. That’s why I’m so passionate about guiding others on their journeys. When you turn your breakdowns into breakthroughs, you unlock a new level of growth and transformation.
