Today we’d like to introduce you to Anton Peeples
Hi Anton, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey started in a small town just outside of Detroit, called Mount Clemens. I grew up with two incredible parents who very early on helped foster my talents and always instilled in me the importance of believing in self and that I could be and do anything I dreamed of. Both of my parents were entrepreneurs and owned there own businesses. My mother owned a both a beauty salon and barber shop. My father own a trucking business. Seeing both my parents owning there own businesses inspired me at a young age to also explore my entrepreneurial efforts later in my life as well. I was a gifted child and knew early on that I wanted to pursue my talents in the arts. My parents kept me in acting class, made sure I took voice lessons as well as dance class. I knew that I wanted to be an artist and live out my life working as an actor specifically, but in order to do that well I also knew I had to put in work to be great. I went to the Detroit High School for the Fine and Performing Arts (the same school R&B singer and Actress Aaliyah went to. Here under the guidance of an incredible acting teacher Ms Marsha Sakwa, I gained the most knowledge about what it was to be an Actor and with her coaching I competed in forensics ( a speech and theater competition) and placed first in the state in my respected category. After finishing my sophomore year while visiting my sister in New York (who was attending Juilliard as an actress) I started working with a music producer and begged my parents to let me stay and they allowed me to do so as long as I got into a great school. I was accepted into the Professional Performing Arts School(the same school R&B singer and Actress Alicia Keys went to). While there I also was signed at a management company and begin auditioning and booking many commercials and a few independent films. New York was the most magical and inspiring city I’ve ever been to and it shaped my life more than any other place I’ve lived. My heart truly lives New York. After graduating Highschool and working in New York as an actor professionally for 6 years, I decided to move to LA. While in LA I focused on both music and acting. I’ve opened up for Artists including, Eric Benet, Mario and Tweet. I also released a self titled EP produced by rapper Chuck Inglish. While living here my acting career also began to rise as Ive been on numerous hit shows including; Insecure(HBO), 911 Lone Star(FOX), The Chi( SHOWTIME), Mr. Mom(MGM), The Neighborhood(CBS) and All American Homecoming(CW) just to name a few. I also was the Co-Creator Executive Producer and one of the Hosts of THE MIX, a Gen-Z/Millennial talk show that aired on FOX SOUL for three seasons. I feel so blessed to be able to be apart of some incredible shows and to have worked with so many talented and well respected actors throughout my career. I truly feel as though I’m just getting started and I look forward to both creating and producing more going forward.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The Journey has not most definitely not been smooth but I’m thankful for all of the ups and downs I’ve experienced throughout my journey so far, because it’s giving me a story and allowed me to be thankful the beautiful moments I’ve experienced. There’s been so much rejection, years of rejection in fact and with that you start to doubt your self and and your talents and abilities. You also start to question if you are meant to continue this journey of an artist. I’ve been broke many times over and at some points, especially earlier in my time of living in New York I was behind on my rent for months and recieved multiple eviction notices. That was one one of the hardest times of my life, but I always remained faithful and dove back into my faith and knew that sometimes it’s darkest before the dawn and that my life would change for the better. It can’t rain every day. Eventually the sun peaks through and shines. Even in the hardest moments of my life I never gave up. I knew God had a purpose for me and my story wasn’t over.
We’ve been impressed with P44 by Anton Peeples , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
P44 is a Total Essential Oil Blend intended to be used on the Body, Scalp, Hair & Beard. Made of the finest ingredients for your skin including: Jojoba Oil, Ylang Ylang, Argan Oil, Coconut Oil, Almond Oil, & Vitamin E. Created by my self.
I created P44 when I was in search of a product to use for my own beard and skin after my lack of finding a product with out harsh chemicals that was natural and also smelled good and had great benefits.
I’m most proud that I created a product that’s enriched with so many benefits including hair growth, mouisture to dry and irritable skin, aiding in supporting nail health and also can help alleviate anxiety and pain in the body.
