Exploring Life & Business with Alina Zhukovskaya of Couture Nutrition

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alina Zhukovskaya.

Hi Alina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia and came to the USA alone at 15 to study in a Quaker high school. I graduated from the Parsons School of Design and worked in the fashion and beauty industries until I found my passion for food and nutrition. I attended the Institute for integrative nutrition and Graff Academy for raw vegan culinary arts in 2010 and started my health coaching and private chef business then. I have been doing that ever since!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
To be honest, it has been pretty amazing. I feel like my move into holistic health coaching and culinary arts was meant to be and the only obstacle for me was having some slow times when I was figuring out my direction as I fine-tuned my practice.

My only big challenge has been not yet getting a TV show that I have been dreaming of since I started this career – it’s my dream to help people make over their kitchens and pantries with foods that taste amazing and make people feel good at the same time – same flavors, no sacrifices! So I am working on that.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Couture Nutrition?
I am known for my ability to make things easy! Or as I like to say eAZy – from A to Z! I can show you how to make dinner in 6 minutes with six ingredients, or sometimes even in 3 minutes. And yes, it will be healthy, yummy, satisfying and may even require zero cleanup! Yes, it’s possible.

People come to me because they want to eat clean, they want to avoid gluten, dairy, other allergens and they want it all to taste good and be easy to make. And I can that for them. And I can do that for you.

I am most proud of the international recognition I got – Harpers Bazaar named my diet #1 Best in 2015, People Magazine named it the best post-thanksgiving detox, and Russian Vogue covered my program in Moscow, among others.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Making a cake with my mom and eating ice cream!! I love Russian ice cream and eating it on vacation is one of my favorite memories 🙂
