Exploring Life & Business with Alexis Lodge of Live Savers Training Center

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Lodge.

Alexis, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am the owner of Live Savers Training Center. It is a post-secondary school specializing in healthcare training and education. We offer CPR, continuing education courses, NCLEX review courses for nurses, and introduction to healthcare including nursing assistant courses. I started as a nursing assistant back in 2003 and decided to go back to school for nursing. After working as a nurse for several years, I went on to be a travel nurse. When I took a travel nurse assignment in Las Vegas, I noticed there was a huge need for nursing assistants, and I decided to start school. In the meantime, I worked in California at various hospitals including Los Angeles. From there, I was able to save enough money to go back to Las Vegas to start a post-secondary school. Since the school was established in 2017, we have enrolled over 250 students and have a 90% passing rate. We have been able to make a huge difference in the lives of others in our community and surrounding states.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
