Exploring Life & Business with Agnes Grumslys of Agnes Beauty & Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Agnes Grumslys.

Agnes Grumslys

Hi Agnes, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey into beauty wasn’t something I planned — it found me. In high school, I joined an ROP cosmetology program without really knowing where it would lead. I quickly realized I loved the beauty industry, but not hair — my heart was drawn to skin. After beauty school, I took makeup courses while also earning my BA in Communications and a minor in PR, still searching for my true path. I worked in makeup artistry, even explored the corporate world, but nothing sparked that same joy.

Then life shifted — I became a mom, took time to be present, and when I was ready to return, I made a bold decision to follow my passion fully. I started from scratch as a solo esthetician — no clients, just vision, faith, and drive. I worked part-time in another spa while building my own clientele, and after two years, I opened my own space in Old World Village, Huntington Beach.

It’s been six beautiful years now. I came from Europe 22 years ago, and somehow life brought me to a European-style village where I get to serve clients from all walks of life. My spa truly feels like my second home — a place where passion, purpose, and connection come together every single day.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth — but it’s been deeply satisfying. All good things take time and courage, and this journey has tested both. As a foreigner, nothing came easily. There were tears, long nights, and countless moments of learning the hard way. Being a business owner means wearing many hats — therapist, marketer, accountant, educator — and even when the spa lights turn off, the work continues. It’s truly a 24/7 devotion.

But through every challenge, I’ve grown stronger. My clients’ trust and loyalty have carried me through the toughest seasons, and my family — especially my son — has been my greatest source of strength. Without their love and support, none of this would have been possible. They are my foundation, my reason, and my reminder of why I keep evolving. I continue to study, expand my skills, and offer treatments that go beyond the ordinary — because this journey is about more than beauty, it’s about heart, growth, and connection.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Agnes Beauty & Wellness ?
Agnes Beauty & Wellness is a sanctuary for the mind, body, and spirit — where European technique meets soulful intention. My specialty lies in sculpting and restoring balance through advanced Lymphatic Face and Body treatments, including Buccal, Hadado, DMK Enzyme Skin Revision, and both Brazilian and Baltic Lymphatic Drainage methods. I also offer Body Roll Sculpting sessions that naturally enhance circulation, detoxification, and contouring. What truly sets us apart is the harmony of energy and science — where touch meets vibration. Most of my treatments are performed on the Welnamis Sound Energy Bed, an experience that blends mindfulness, meditation, and deep relaxation. Using Quantum Harmonic Sound technology, gentle acoustic waves and binaural tones work in tune with the body’s organs and chakras to restore balance on a deeper energetic level.
Sound and movement are the heartbeat of my practice. Alongside skincare, I guide private and group sound bath sessions — both in-spa and in nature — including floating sound bath experiences where guests are cradled by water and vibration. As an amateur dancer, I’ve witnessed firsthand how music and movement can heal. Dance reminds me daily that energy must flow — through the body, through the soul — and that same philosophy inspires the way I care for my clients.
At Agnes Beauty & Wellness, it’s not just about enhancing beauty — it’s about creating harmony within. Each service reflects my European roots, intuitive touch, and devotion to helping clients feel lighter, calmer, and truly reconnected to themselves.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I see the beauty and wellness industry shifting toward deeper healing — where treatments go beyond appearance and truly nurture the body, mind, and spirit. The future is holistic, energy-driven, and education-focused. My dream is to expand Agnes Beauty & Wellness globally — not just as a spa, but as a philosophy of care and connection.

I envision creating a resort dedicated to complete restoration — a sanctuary where many can experience what only one or two can now: the harmony of touch, sound, and energy in one place. I also see myself educating and mentoring others in the industry, helping practitioners elevate their craft and embrace new, integrative approaches. The world is ready for wellness that feels personal, soulful, and truly transformative — and I want to be part of leading that change.
