Hi Tenaya, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was introduced to sea moss through a friend of a friend. I did some research and realized this superfood which is a type of an algae has been part of the human diet for thousands of years. In addition to being consumed historically in places like the Caribbean islands and Ireland, sea moss has been use medicinally in other cultures for decades to treat numerous conditions ranging from costs to infections to low libido levels. In the Caribbean islands, parents give sea moss to their children.
Sea moss is an all-natural multi-vitamin and includes a plethora of minerals and vitamins. I experienced so many incredible benefits after consuming the sea moss that I attempted to make it myself. After perfecting the texture of the sea moss, I noticed continuous health benefits including feeling less mucous in the mornings, increased energy, healthier and clear skin, limited issues with my allergies and more.
Since I became familiar with the incredible benefits of sea moss, I wanted to share it with my close family and friends. I even give it to my three years old son by mixing it in his oatmeal. I started making jars for my close family and friends. They loved it and the benefits. I got the idea of selling jars to some friends. And after my friend started spreading the word and through referrals, it became a business. And I am happy that it improves the health of so many.
My niece and I were brainstorming one day to think of a name for the new sea moss venture. We felt the name Pure Life Sea Moss is promising because sea moss is pure, no additives or preservatives and it gives you PURE LIFE!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Before selling my products, I made it for my family members and close friends. The texture would not come out the way I wanted it and people were ready to purchase it. I couldn’t get the texture of the sea moss the way I wanted it. So I consulted with my Caribbean friends to try it out. It took about a few months to make the perfect batch with an easy to consume texture.

I specialize in providing a five star customer service experience. If a client is unhappy with the product or if the product damages while in shipment, I will refund the product free of charge including shipping fees.
I clean and sanitize each new mason jar prior to including the sea moss.
When I starting purchasing sea moss from another company, I never knew when it expired so I had to refer back to text messages. I include the shelf life date on the sea moss jar for easy reference. Something a lot of my clients shared they liked about my products they didn’t get from other companies.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My family and close friends deserve credit for supporting me in the beginning process of starting my business. They gave me insight, tried my product when it wasn’t quite perfected and gave me suggestions and constructive criticism.
