Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Harrison Lee.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a triple board certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon who has been in practice for 22 years. Initially, I started out in Dentistry and specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I was a clinical assistant professor of Oral Surgery at NYU before deciding to obtain my Medical Degree at New York Medical college.
Then I pursued a Residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC. Subsequent to this, I finally finished a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with the World renowned Dr. Frank Kamer in 1998 at the Lasky Clinic in Beverly Hills. I have utilized all of my training and skills in Facial Plastic Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, and Maxillofacial Surgery to become a world-recognized expert in Facial Feminization Surgery. I received wide acclaim for having performed the facial gender reassignment surgery for Caitlyn Jenner in 2015. I also perform the other routine facial plastic procedures such as eyelid, facelifts, rhinoplasty, etc. I also have a practice in Manhattan on Park Avenue and see patients for consultations as well as perform surgeries there approximately ten days per month.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
After having been an Attending Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon at NYU to go back to being a medical student was a very difficult transition and then to go through another surgical residency starting as an Intern was also quite challenging. I had to swallow my pride and bite my tongue to endure the hardships of another residency. However, looking back I have no regrets and all that surgical training and education equipped me with the necessary skills to perform the very complex facial surgeries I perform today.

I am recognized for performing Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) in male transitioning to female patients. I have a list of celebrity clients as well who sought out my expertise in regular Facial Plastic procedures such as facelifts, eyelid procedures, rhinoplasty.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Beverly Hills is a great little town that has all of the high-end shops and restaurants all in a compact location. Also, the buildings are not so tall as to mask the sunlight and great climate associated with Southern CA.
