Exploring Life & Business with Gabriel Gutierrez of Lime Drop Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriel Gutierrez.

Hi Gabriel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started a little over two years ago at a family gathering where I was preparing drinks for everyone. (I’ve always been the family bartender & party starter) lol. At this particular event, my cousin that I hadn’t seen in a long time, passionately convinced me that I can market & sell my drinks! Once I got home that night, March 21, I brain stormed ideas, created logos & kept a lot of it a secret. Two weeks later, I started attending a bartending school where I would learn new techniques & skills to prepare me for what I was later going to start: Lime Drop Bartending – A mobile bartending service. It was a great first couple of months in business. Meeting & connecting with different groups of people at different events definitely helped us on social media. Fast forward to two years later, we still offer mobile bartending but we have also introduced many new products, which are now sold at over 30 store locations in Southern California, such as our michelada mix “Miche Boyz” & “Rim Paste”- A perfect blend of spices and sweetened syrup beer or mixed drink topper! We also sell at Small business events 1-2 times a month where we sell all our products and connect with our followers.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The first 6-10 months of launching Lime Drop were some of my most stressful times of my life. The toughest part was learning to sacrifice family time for work. Most of our gigs and events were during the weekend & it was definitely a struggle juggling a full-time job and making time to bartend large events during the weekend. We have now grown our team and focus mainly on events & producing products. Other struggles have been keeping up with the demand of our products! During the early stages of Covid-19, the stay at home order definitely boosted our sales as bars and restaurants were closed. We couldn’t keep up with the demand. Our products were flying off the shelves!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Lime Drop, we specialize in mobile bartending for any event in Southern California. No event is too big or small for us. We love to connect with guests and make sure they enjoy their specialty cocktail prepared by one of our bartenders. We love to get as creative as possible and bring our client’s ideas to life through our drinks! We make sure every drink is done to perfection and matches the events vibe. Clients can go directly on our website and request a quote from us. We provide freshly cut garnishes and prepare up to five specialty cocktails.

We also offer many different products through our online website & are available at over 30 store locations. Our most popular product is our michelada mix (similar to a bloody mary mix) named Miche Boyz. It is a perfect blend of spices, limes and tomato mix meant to blend perfectly with your favorite Mexican lager beer. We are most proud that we can ship our products to our followers that are out of state or even across the country. Even though they are a distance away and unable to book us for a bartending event, they can still receive our products & share the deliciousness with their family and friends.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I love to help others reach their goals. I get a kick of inspiring others, giving them that extra push or support they might need to get them to launch or be confident in their brand or products. I always make myself available when a friend needs some advice or help with growing their business.
